Works great for me, too, and in connection with Photopost. Clicked install and nominated MoM.

Thank you!

It seems my inline attachments display vertically instead of horizontally after installing this, how would I go about fixing this?

ie..

(attach)12323(/attach)

(attach)12323(/attach)

(attach)12323(/attach)

I want it

(attach)12323(/attach) (attach)12323(/attach) (attach)12323(/attach)

Cool, looking forward to it, mini2!

(As best I can tell, it's been working fine for me on 3.6.4.)

Smoothie 03-15-2007 01:34 AM

I have this installed on 3.6.5 and it works fine and dandy.

I don't have functionality on the VBA front page..did you have to mod any vba templates to make that happen?

b6gm6n 03-16-2007 12:15 AM

Hi...

Great mod btw.... what happens if you cannot see a loading graphic? - i've sorted the css and the graphic should load, dunno why they commented it out for in the first place... i've double checked the graphix dir and the image is there... css is ok, all working... just looked like a pause when you click an image.... :) ... cheers

-b6

EDIT, i've tried to force that loader css in the extra-definitions in vB, still the same, i also read that maybe i have an a:link css definition which is taking over or stopping my loader icon... not sure which yet, i've tried various styles (child/parent) and nothing....

Actually reading other forums and after a good 2 hours playing im resigned to giving up, even the author of this script makes excuses like 'he's traveling' etc.. and still the same question over & over again and to this day as yet un-solved... i can do any more time on this...

Might be a 'dominant' css, but i doubt it... everything else is being picked up in that css, the control bar grafix for example... anyways good luck on sussing it...might be really simple

I just noticed that as well - even though I uncommented those lines out in the css, the "loading.gif" graphic does not appear. This is with the newest download of highslide.

So, as mentioned above, I reverted back to my previous version of highslide, and the "loading" graphic appeared just fine.

I wonder if it has anything to do with this:

mini2 has said he's going to look into the newest version (and vB 3.6.5) this weekend, so I look forward to seeing what he has to say. For now, I'm sticking with the older version because it works.

I didn't. I did have my news template modified, but it had nothing to do with this mod at all.

b6gm6n 03-16-2007 09:28 AM

which version of HS are you using Tralala and which files should i replace...all of them? - i just went for 3.1.3 still the same

cheers

Exact same problem as B6. I'm also experiencing the following symptoms.

- No "loading" graphic

- If you click on an image to enlarge before the browser has completed loading, user gets an "operation aborted", IE6-7 presents error page.

- Inline moderation is majorly messed up, specifically the moderation box on the lower right of a thread is blank.

- I cannot re-create this, but after installing, I have received a handfull of reports stating "how do I post a thread". Interpeted, the user is not seeing the "new thread" icon. Sounds alot like my inline moderation symptom.

I have run accross similar problems like this in the past with .js menus, etc with similar behaviour. Something is definately broken with this setup, and the .js is conflicting with VB -somewhere-.

Good on ya to the author, this is a cool mod, but I'm uninstalling until some of this is resolved.

danny75 03-26-2007 06:28 AM

can you install this for me, cause there are some problems mentioned, I can't solve

phill2003 03-26-2007 02:11 PM

This will not work on IE at all for me, no idea why because it works in IE (slowly but it works) in other parts of my site.

Gizmo5h1t3 03-26-2007 05:55 PM

that link to the packer page is down again, ....gutted as i wanted to try to pack the js file, to see if it made any difference

Kirkus 03-27-2007 02:35 AM

I'm wondering if anyone has had trouble with this working after installing vBadvanced? I love this hack and it seemed to work great until I installed vbadvanced.

Thoughts?

2meplie 03-27-2007 04:31 PM

Is it working for linked images too?

SideDraft260 03-27-2007 07:33 PM

anyidea on how to integrate this into photoplog?

Kirkus 03-27-2007 09:12 PM

After installing vbadvanced, attachments are behaving now like they do in a fresh install of vBulletin. They just open in a new _parent window. It's as if highslide or this hack don't exist.

I ran through the installation instructions again to make sure the vBadvanced installation didn't overwrite anything.

fsakbas 03-27-2007 11:35 PM

its really good ! Good work. Thanks from Turkey !

I've discovered the majority of my problem. The "Highslide" directory path needs to come back one level first because of a custom content page.

However, the control bar is not appearing along with the attachments. An example can be seen here.

http://www.talkabouttennis.com/forum...ead.php?t=5434

I'm sure it's also a path problem but I can't seem to find it. Can anyone help me with this?

brvheart 03-29-2007 01:56 PM

I am having a issue with the postbit_legacy and Postbit template being thrown all off after making the postbit_attachmentthumbnail edit....and nothing works for me...

Edit: Everything is working great now, I forgot to close a "<!-- --> Great mod btw thank you very much for this :)

dendrob 03-29-2007 02:51 PM

Does anyone know how to get rid of the border around "Attached Thumbnail" ? I've searched long and wide and cannot find a place. I don't mind the text, just don't want the border showing, which template is this in?

see author's mod example, you know which border I'm talking about http://www.mini2.com/forum/2894387-post1.html

any help would be greatly appreciated

EDIT: Also, Mini, how did you do it so users that are not logged in can also see the effect? I can't seem to figure it out, if a user is not logged in/registerd they just see links to attachments, but not actual thumbnails

Finster 03-31-2007 03:56 PM

I would like to be able to serve up larger images on my server and post smaller versions just a little but larger than thumbs INLINE within a large written article and users can click on the inline images to make them increase in size.

How do I do this with this mod and vB 3.6.4?

Thanks!

Kirkus,

Were you ever able to get this working with VB Advanced??? Just curious?

phovanxua 04-05-2007 05:27 AM

Wonderfull Mod ...will try later .

Thanks .

funkmeister 04-09-2007 05:48 AM

Excellent, thank you - voted for MOTM.

However, one thing I've come across is for those who are unregistered or are in a usergroup that doesn't have access to image attachments - where they used to see just a text link to an image file - the thumbnail image is now displayed to them! The good news is.....when clicked on, nothing happens, other than it simply saying "Loading" overlayed on the thumbnail image.

So my questions are....is it possible to get the text link of the image back and if not, is there a way to changing the "Loading" text to something else, such as "Access Denied" or something similar, not globally, but just for this scenario? As with the mod in place, they don't get thrown to the "not logged in or you do not have permission" page now, which was the previous behaviour.

Thanks again, fantastic mod.

b6gm6n 04-09-2007 08:36 AM

still no loading graphic or text, besides that great... so how to fix that?

I'm sorry for just now checking back in here. I was able to get it working with VB Advanced. The problem I was having stemmed from the fact that I had my VB Advanced pages in a different directory than my forum directory. When I moved my VB Advanced pages into my forum directory that fixed my problem.

OmniBuzz 04-09-2007 06:02 PM

simply amazing !
thanks

Cybershaolin 04-09-2007 09:11 PM

Cannot access this web site: http://vikjavev.no/highslide/

kevcj 04-10-2007 12:52 AM

Question - if I move the attachment into the body of the article, the highslide no longer works. Is there a way to get the pictures in the body of the article to work with highslide as well?

RTFM

kevcj 04-10-2007 12:19 PM

Ok, thx - I did RTFM or else it would not work at all. I over looked the linline part doing the install. I found the part in the instructions that explain inline and see what I have to do to get everything working.
