I only used it on my site, by closing right-side blocks, plus I use vBPortal, and it was a simple HTML block with calls placed to the main player file. If you still want a vBadvanced CMPS block, I will write the required code. |
no you dont have to right one i was just wondering. thanks for your great work
|
Nice mod! Installed! Thanks.
|
Is there a way you can put it in in vbadvanced?Like have it on the main page in the middle?

An alternative way, would be to use no right column, if the player was coded into a block. Basically, it's all about the size of this player. I am working on a new version of this modifcation, however it won't be released for awhile because I have other releases that need documenting before I release them. The coding required for a center block for vBadvanced CMPS - I could do, because its only a 10 minute job. |
I've been reading about your forthcoming commercial version of this hack.
I'd like to use something like this, but have the .flv files hosted on a separate box... is this going to be possible? In other words, I want to host the files externally by using URL's, but not on like youtube or something, just on my own private separate server (for bandwidth and storage reasons). I'd also like people to be able to upload files, and create thier own playlists from the lists of files available. Also, i'd like the player integrated in the page, not in a popup. Will this be possible with your new commercial version? Is there a list somewhere with all the features that will be included in the commercial version? What about a demo? THANK YOU! |
All you have mentioned and more will be available. The Pro version is still in an Alpha form at the moment, and resembles nothing like this free version. For obvious reasons I can't announce on here much about the modification itself.
For more details click here. |
No longer supported on here. We will be releasing v2.0 - but only available from our main site due to support requirements.
|
Oooh...Looks good...Great job
|
Will this work with Version 3.6.8?
|

It doesn't use any vBulletin db queries, therefore its independent of any vb version. I will be releasing a more featured version at a later date.:) |
I'd buy the pro version if it allowed streaming of videos from YouTube. That would be THE killer feature for this mod and something I've been desperately looking for, for a long time for my own community. Any hints or clues as to if that is in the pipeline?
|

It has been tested with blip.tv and it works fine in development, as of yet Google hasn't been tested, YouTube has been tested and working fine, even with our new GUI thats been designed. More details can be found on our main website... |

i will buy it if there is option or module to use it in ldm hack @download and links managemant@ or if it has management to use it in categories in php and then the entries only be shown in vbflv player with ability to get files from google youtube |
when commercial version of this modification go out ?

It maybe available soon, we are in discussions with a few potential buyers. Development prices are quite high, but these will be offset on the product sales. |
The XML will not upload to my site, can someone help me please? i keep getting invalid file specified

Can you tell me is this the pro version? http://www.digitalport.co.uk/Top_40 Also, I have couple of questions:
1/ Can this one play video from streaming from other sources such as Daily Motion, YouTube...? 2/ How long of a video can it play? 3/ Can this one also play mp3 or has to be the mp3 stand alone itself? |
Quote:
1. No, this player does not support streaming from external servers, it was released mainly as a test FLV player for vBulletin. 2. Video's can be any length, but you need to consider bandwidth usage. 3. This player will only play FLV files, no other formats are supported at present. Currently, we are developing a new technology to allow text, audio and video to stream - this will be a commercial product once released mainly because of all the features it will have available, our current time frame release for this new product is within the next 8 weeks. The product itself takes audio/video streaming to a whole new level. We may bring out a free version, but it will have limited functionality compared the commercial one. |
I'd like to see the new version of this. I believe it will worth the purchase and if so, I will get my hand on it.
|
Great mod syrus, keep up your great work :D
|
Would also be interested in this modification. It the professional version going to look like this: http://www.digitalport.co.uk/Top_40 ?
Also, if I purchase the professional version, is it possible to get the .FLA so that I can customize the look of the player? |

The Pro version is very similar to the version you seen, but no adverts are employed unless the pre-roll ad setting is configured. It automatically updates upon upload of video clips, which are converted server-side to flv - this is done via non-standard PHP modules which are required. We will release a script to test if the correct modules are available on your server before purchase. The development version is working fine with upto 200Mb file uploads. The best way is to keep an eye on our site for updates on the actual release date.:) |
will this work for 3.7?

I get this error...any ideas. Thanks.
Warning!!! To view the Xeon vbFLV Player system enable JavaScript and Flash! |
Nevermind, uploaded to the wrong directory.
Another question, is there a way to upload via the website, or can you only uload via ftp? |

http://www.digitalport.co.uk/photopo....php/photo/779 The player itself hasn't been released yet since the Userguide is still being done. The player that we have here is XML based and not dynamically populated which is what would be required for a vbulletin version allowing uploading. Many parameters we have change on our server to allow uploading of up to 100Mb video files, but we could go beyond this value. |
Great Addon.

Is there a update for 4.2.x?
|
Not from this developer, this is only for, vB Version: 3.6.10 and has not been updated since 20 Nov 2006

With HTML5 and Canvas now available on most browsers it would probably be a player upgrade as well. This would be re-skinned, and updated to use the latest video controls that you see on main websites such as YouTube, etc which would include Full Screen HD 1080p support and not just support FLV. Video compression formats have become much better over the years, since I initially released this modification I would probably include playback formats such as MKV, MP4, M4V, AVI, etc. I would not update this modification for use on vBulletin 5.x - so, vBulletin 4 Series would be the final update. I still develop modifications for vB3 and vB4, but mostly custom. This modification still does work on vBulletin 3.x series, but breaks under vB4.x Series due to the new templater system. Coding-wise this is not really a big change, vB4 is quite stable now and the hook system would make this modification easier to install, using automatic template edits. |
