I can see only the banners title.

I use vbseo, maybe the problem is that?

Thanks.

Ok, I installed this without a problem. It's enabled and I have 2 banners set as active. The "Quick Display" page shows them green and the banner graphics appear fine.

Banners appear on misc.php?do=cybbannman page, but not on Forum Home page and I DO NOT use VBSEO.... :confused:

Anyone help me get this mod to show the banners on Forum Home Page at top right?

Thanks

Badger

Ok, just did a bunch more testing. I even tried to put $cyb_flashimagebanners into several different templates in different locations to see if the banners would appear anywhere.... no luck...

UNINSTALLED for the second time.... :(

Thanks anyway ... :)

Badger

I will do that and send you a PM.... :up:

I sure would like to get this to work as it's the best thing I've seen to meet our forum's needs...

Thanks for your help...

Regards,
Badger

ps: Oh... and marked "installed: again for testing .... ;)

.... btw, the only place we want to locate the banner is the default. Up on the header at the very top, to the far right side opposite our logo. Thanks

Valter 07-29-2007 10:02 PM

It works now. Check your PMs.

Yup, not sure what you changed, but it's live.... :up:

Thanks very much..... :)

Been waiting a long time to have something simple like this to rotate links to related organizations.

Badger

sjim 07-30-2007 12:29 AM

Cyber could you explain what changed for badgerdog? Was it his custom template?
I did the same thing (installed it twice) with no luck.
Im thinking something is conflicting for me.
Maybe Vbseo?

Louis Phong 07-30-2007 08:34 AM

thanks, installed!

BadgerDog 07-30-2007 01:08 PM

Is there someplace I can change the code to have it open a NEW page when someone click a banner as opposed to opening with the same browser window?

Thanks ... :)

Regards,
Badger

leoyeh1 07-30-2007 10:45 PM

Installed...Thanks very much!

leoyeh1 07-31-2007 03:57 PM

find

<a href="misc.php?do=cbgoto&amp;id='+this.aCybs[iCtr].bnrID+'&amp;url='+this.aCybs[iCtr].bnrHyperlink+'">';

replace

Martilee 08-01-2007 06:02 PM

Is there a way to make this only changed on page refresh and not by time? And also hold the page size instead of jumping the page up and down when it hits banners of different sizes.

I don't see that strange "jumping" effect at all on our system?

What browser are you using and do you have a link to your web site so I can see if it happens when I log in there?

Badger

Same problem for me and apparently others. Uninstalled until (if) someone posts the fix for this problem.

I use Firefox, it jumped the page since the banners are different sizes. I have since removed them , trying to figure out custom content page now lol

This hack does not work right with vBadvanced CMPS. It works OK with the rest of the site.

If $cyb_flashimagebanners is included *anywhere* withing the navbar template, the code in $cyb_flashimagebanners is stripped out somewhere before it ever makes it to the browser.

Here is what is output to the browser when included in the navbar template (code is from view source from the home page):

<table width="100%" border="1" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
<tr>
<td>
<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxx";
google_ad_width = 468;
google_ad_height = 60;
google_ad_format = "468x60_as";
google_ad_type = "text";
google_ad_channel = "";
google_color_border = "AAAAAA";
google_color_bg = "AAAAAA";
google_color_link = "000000";
google_color_text = "333333";
google_color_url = "222222";
google_ui_features = "rc:0";
//-->
</script>
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
</script>
</td>
<td></td>
</tr>
</table>

Note the empty table cell -- that is where $cyb_flashimagebanners template code is supposed to be. I have tried moving $cyb_flashimagebanners around and it seems to work fine in the header, but if it is anywhere within the navbar template, it doesn't work.

I really like this hack and I really want to use it, but this is pretty much a show stopper for us.

mamashid 08-17-2007 06:37 PM

what does the clicks mean?

Valter 08-20-2007 02:07 AM

v1.6 - Aug 20. 2007.
-Added option to choose to open target links in new or current window/tab
-Fixed bug where ampersand can not be used in links
-Fixed bug with durations in Continuous play mode
-Added option to disable triangle used to catch clicks for flash banners
-Several minor compatibility/security fixes...

To upgrade:
-Import XML, allow overwrite.
-Revert hack templates if any modified.

BadgerDog 08-20-2007 12:40 PM

v1.6 Installed with vBulletin v3.6.7pl1 ...

Working great .... :up:

Thanks ... :)

Badger

Thank You very Much for the Update Cybernetec!! :up:

It'd be Great dor your Next Update, to Include to be able to Confirm with the User Before Deleting any Banner, because is very easy to Delete Banners by selecting the wrong choice!! ;)

I hope you can add a Dialog Box that can Avoid those Unwanted Deletions from happening!! ;)

My Best Regards!! :up:

:)

inciarco 08-21-2007 07:02 PM

Cybernetec, there are Two little Bugs!! :(

:confused: 1. The Option "Open links in new window/tab" don't open the Links in a New Window!!

:confused: 2. The Links don't Work

(Version 1.5 Works OK!! I've Installed Version 1.5 Again!!)

For Example: One Link appears as:

http://inciarco.com/foros/misc.php?d...ead.php?t=1697

And it Navigates to:

http://inciarco.com/foros/

When it shall Navigate to:

http://inciarco.com/foros/showthread.php?t=1697

:)

Valter 08-21-2007 07:43 PM

Check hack templates and revert if needed.

inciarco 08-23-2007 12:10 AM

What Templates Should I Check?? :confused: (What are the Names of the Templates)

Please Tell me What I Should Look in the Templates to Decide to Revert Them!! :confused:

Thank You Cybernetec!! ;)

:)

Valter 08-23-2007 12:15 AM

cyb_flashimagebanners

inciarco 08-23-2007 06:09 PM

Great Help Cybernetec!! I reverted the Templates cyb_flashimagebanners and cyb_flashimagebanners_manage and now works the Links opening in a New Window and also the Click on the Banner to the Specified Address!! Thank You!! :up:

I quote one of my previous messages!! I hope you could include this in the next Update, to Avoid Deleting Banners by Mistake!! ;)
