Yes, if you can PM that info that would be great!

ok mate no probs

Scooterpig 03-26-2007 03:29 AM

Great add-on for your great hack, kudos to you for both of them..:)

Just a question as am testing on test board first, that when it creates the thread in forum, it also links to the thread in the file info no worries, but the link is incorrect in that it's missing part of it.

EG: -
Code:

http://mytestsite.com/showthread.phpxxxx
is what it shows as link to new thread

whereas it should read

Code:

http://mytestsite.com/test/showthread.phpxxxx
Anyone have any ideas how I can rectify this problem please?

CyberRanger 03-27-2007 02:57 AM

I'll check into it later today and get back with you. :-)

Jay... 04-04-2007 06:14 PM

Hey CyberRanger i dont know if this is of any help to you. Regarding my query a few posts back when i click 'Add new event' on my calendar, the word 'Gallery' is automatically in the title box.

titorevolu 05-04-2007 04:17 PM

it says The upload failed! Upload error.

wolfe 05-06-2007 11:36 AM

is it possible to make it add new threads for download already on the system ?

The only way to do that is to edit the download entry once you've configured this add-on. If you edit the entry, the add-on will look to see if a thread already exists and create one if it doesn't. But, no "mass" way to do it.

Kirk Y 05-28-2007 05:58 AM

Any progress on this working with Mass Imports?

Edit: Also, for some reason whenever a Download is Edited -- like the Description is changed for example -- a New Thread is created, rather than a New Post in the previous Thread. Anyone else having problems with that?

tekram 05-31-2007 02:33 PM

Its not running on vBulletin 3.6.7 PL1

DementedMindz 05-31-2007 02:44 PM

CyberRanger just seen this mod :) question is there anyway to have it where it will post threads for the downloads added previously to installing this mod?

trigon 06-02-2007 04:20 PM

After deinstalling the "Main Hack" i tried to deinstall this one, but i get a mysql error.
What must i do to fix it?

The easiest course of action is to import the main product file again, then uninstall this product, then un-install the main product.

Why the un-install?

That's a good idea. No way to do so now but I'll try to work up something.

DementedMindz 06-02-2007 05:30 PM

yeah that would be really nice if you could come up with some kinda way to make it work that way. cause if they have like 500 downloads already and then someone need something such as support for that download it would be alot easier.

I guess the hard part is would you want it to be an all or nothing thing. If you want all downloads that don't have a thread to have a thread created, that would be fairly simple. Is that what you are looking for?

DementedMindz 06-03-2007 03:36 AM

exactly what I would be looking for.

Mrdby 06-08-2007 12:11 AM

3.6.7??

I'm not sure. I haven't had a chance to upgrade to 3.6.7 yet. However, there is a report a few posts before this that it won't work with 3.6.7.

Does anyone have it working with 3.6.7?

DementedMindz 06-08-2007 01:55 AM

I havent tested it yet as I was waiting to see if you made a new version so it would make threads for older downloads.

I Install the mod,
and the one seems to work well because he writes the new threads, but when I try to enter in the forum of the downloads the forum show this error
The Specified Page is Invalid

Kind Regards!!

Artes_Marciales 06-21-2007 04:48 PM

after I installed the mod and the addons...
Show this error in ALL forums

that I can make now?

Kind regards!

NiTRoN 06-21-2007 07:48 PM

it works for me fine on 3.6.7 version... but i had it installed before upgraded to this version..

the only thing that still bugs me is when you edit the file.. it creates new thread instead add another post to allready existing thread.

Artes_Marciales 06-21-2007 08:07 PM

the problem is because the vbadvanced that I had also installed today :(

About the Downloads mod,
I think is good!
Kind Regards!

NiTRoN 06-21-2007 10:03 PM

i run vbadvanced too and no issues there.. even the threads show on home page..

CyberRanger 06-21-2007 11:47 PM

Sorry guys, I've been off-line for a few days. So ... is it working okay for the last few posters or not? I'm not quite sure from the latest posts.

Dave Hawley 06-22-2007 12:25 AM

It requires DownloadsII 5.0.4 or higher.
But that Hack is for 3.6.6 while this one is for 3.5.5???

NiTRoN 06-22-2007 01:00 AM

like i said.. i use latest downloadsII and this addon on 3.6.7 w/vbadvanced 2.x and works fine.. the only thing that doesn't work correctly.. and it never did was when you edit file it creates totally new thread instead a making post in existing one.

Dave Hawley 06-22-2007 01:04 AM

I'm not asking about 3.6.7 or vbAdvanced.

DownloadsII itself is fully compatible with all 3.5.x AND 3.6.x vBulletin releases. We just put it there because most people aren't looking any more at the 3.5.x mod forums as they are running the vB 3.6.x series. This is clearly stated in the first post (font size 3, bold and in a color :D).

Dave Hawley 06-22-2007 07:24 AM

Silly me, I was looking at the vB Version: 3.6.6 at the top of the post :)

rainyleaves 07-31-2007 03:33 AM

Thanks, CyberRanger.
Very useful mod.

I installed Downloads2 5.0.4 with VB3.6.8.

Hi, i stil have that unanswered question https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=1329835&postcount=116"

So if you can do that for me pls.

Also, Since i have so many categories and child categories in downloads i am having big problem with `Always create new thread` which is set to no.

I have Whole category set to no, but when i upload files to its child categories it will make the thread. I have tried to disable creation of thread on the child and it does work.

Is it anyhow possible, if i select not to create new thread for certain category not to create new threads for any child category in it.

thank you
