Nobody till now reported a bug with this function. Does your vB installation send messages?

yes, i try that everyday, maybe my code is diff from everyone else then

Please do the following actions:

1. Download the attached file
2. With a text editor (eg notepad) change the 2 variables with your email and a destination email address
3. Upload this file to your server
4. Run the file eg http://www.yourdomain.com/testmail.php

If it dosen't works means that there is a problem with mail() function

I just did, and i received the mail in 2 seconds

Could you please reply to:
1.- Under the message box is there any option to add attachment??
2.- Have you check that the profile to which you want to send message has email address in the profile?
3.- What exactly error message are you receiving?

no option to add attachment, yes, the profile has an email address,

look, i downloaded another version, it does the same thing. i can't register in your site, it keeps on telling me i typed the wrong image... maybe you are running a diff version of vbmares then the one you had me downloaded

You don't need to register to my site. If I remember well you've purchage the Premium version, correct? If yes, you need to login at member's area selecting "My account" from the menu. There are no images there for verification.

Sorry, but I can't do anything more by posts here. You must email me FTP details for your site to check the configuration. The problem is not coming from my code, as nobody has problem. You can check it in the demo version in my site. Login with:
user: demouser
password: demopass
and add a profile with your email address. Please note that still your email address at yahoo.com must has problem as all my email came back.

The send message doesnt work on my site either and all of my other apps send emails fine ( www.peoplesynch.com )

are you upgrading from 1.0 to 1.1 formula ?? I had to reinstall vb to get that thing half-way... it sends the message now, but i still get the erro.. try to erase the vbmates tables and create again and see how it goes formula

Im not sure what version I have. I would just get rid of it before I reinstalled vb (I have a lot of other products and custom code that I wrote). I'll see what MicroHellas has to say (maybe make a patch?) I looked through the code and didn't see any obvious problems.

No, only in Premium. In Lite version you can browse only by category.

You don't need to unistall and install again. The product-vbmates.xml is written this way that adds only the changes.

I bought the premium version and the emails dont work. I can email fine out of the other mods on my forum and from the forum itself. Is there a fix for this yet?

Are you getting any type of error or you just dont receive the email?

Premium version works great - thanks for the easy mod!

1.- About currency: I had problem with my Bank when for first time I transfer money from PayPal. I thought that they'll (PayPal) convert USD in Euros. Finally they sent them in USD and my Bank informed me that I don't have the right to sell in other currency than Euros as I'm an EU company.
2.- About the price: It's not going down. The price of $39.90 was just a promotion.
3.- As for the activity. Yes, because I'm not using tricks to come and post a "Goodmorning surfers" just to appear again at the top of the listing. And as you know most of users looks only in 1st-2nd page.

hahaha... No, I don't have anything about males who want to contact males to place a restriction like this ;) It's just a bug in some server configurations only but I'll post in a few days an update using an internal vB function.

Before Christmas I'm planing to release new versions for both vbPhotoVote (former vbHotOrNot) and vbMates (Dating module), with more features like:

1.- vbPhotoVote

• Double vote restriction
• Admin approval for photos
• ...and maybe more...

2.- vbMates

• Multiple search (Gender, Age, Location etc)
• Admin approval for profiles
• ...and maybe more...

The only difference is that new versions will have php code encrypted (but without any special server needs). Sorry, but I've been so disappointed seeing that 98% of you have you removed my copyright the only thing that I asked for exchange of my free offer.

With vbMate, is it possible to have 'random' profiles displayed on Forum Home?

I'd like to have a left column on all pages, and have one block that displays ONE random profile.

Forum Home, means vbAdvanced?
