Andrew, fantastic design.

I just have one question. Would it be possible to make the usernames of posters link to their info etc? ie on the forum you click on a user in a thread and it displays a menu.

cheers,
AJ

Andrew 09-25-2006 07:55 AM

I don't understand what you mean by that - The big username in the postbit should already have the dropdown menu that allows you to send a pm, view their profile, etc...

IncredibleHawk 09-25-2006 08:16 AM

Good stuff!

bonjurkes 09-25-2006 08:56 AM

skin is really cool and really good work but i have a problem

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/

how can i fix it ?

Andrew 09-25-2006 07:24 PM

I honestly cannot determine what is causing that problem for some of you guys - I've been completely unable to recreate it on my dev forums, which leads me to believe it's being caused by one or a number of mods that affect the postbits somehow.

jyajay 09-30-2006 09:34 PM

I got another problem. If there are any hidden (private) forums, people like guests have a broken forum index.

The first is logged in as an administrator, the second is as a guest.

Andrew 10-01-2006 06:55 AM

Hmm - I'll look into that later today and release an update if needed.

jyajay 10-02-2006 06:35 PM

Ok, I figured out why the table is broken. I am hiding the users currently online for guests.

But I cannot find an error within your code.

the problem is infraction.gif . It seems fine when you post because you cant give infraction to yourself, it seems fine when you look the board as member, because members cant see infration button.

I changed the button with the vb's default yellow/red card and everything turn back to normal ;)

obmob 10-03-2006 05:26 PM

Oh, this one is different, i like it :)

MRGTB 10-03-2006 08:57 PM

I like your Horcrux skin andrew. very nice indeed. Were can that be downloaded?

Andrew 10-04-2006 12:24 PM

That was a custom job for a long-time client of mine, so it is not available for download or sale.

Ok - I'll look into making a smaller version of this that still matches this style this weekend (I've actually still not been able to recreate the problem myself, but oh well.)

Shana 10-07-2006 03:16 AM

Could you please upgrade this to vbulletin 3.6.2?

Andrew 10-07-2006 04:55 PM

I plan on it when I have some free time tomorrow, but for now, the 3.6.1 XML file will work fine with 3.6.2 (Just click the little override button when you go to upload it.)

Shana 10-07-2006 05:26 PM

Oh ok! Thanks :D.

EDIT:// Is there anyway to make it so the profile is on the left hand side- and not the top?

ABeautifulBrown 10-08-2006 03:04 AM

You are awesome! Amazing template!

Yeah - It's just an option called "Legacy Postbit" that you can turn on and off from:

vBulletin Options => vBulletin Options => Style and Language Settings

rps_1984 10-08-2006 11:47 PM

Great style, it fits very well with our website :)

There does seem to be an issue with either the way we have vB setup, or your style. This problem only happens when we use the Blaze style.

See the bottom area here: http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/7...leissuews9.jpg

We're running the latest version of vB.

Andrew 10-09-2006 09:13 AM

I just updated the .XML file with a fix for your issue - Upload the new one and you should be all set (I accidentally started the second part of that table within an IF statement, so when you disabled that portion, it didn't create the tables properly.)

rps_1984 10-10-2006 12:07 AM

Works great!!

Does the Your Index link at the bottom need to stay a link? The OP says "you retain the small promotional message in the footer" which to me means the text needs to stay. The message still displays even without it being a link.

Also, I moved it down to the bottom where the other notices are at. I think it looks a little bit better when the link displays in that specific section.

Thanks again! Once our site is up I plan on sending you a PM, I don't think you have any idea how well this style fits with our overall website.

Wunderbar 10-11-2006 11:36 PM

beautiful style! Installed!

Quick question though. If I wanted to change the color scheme, how would I go about that? Probably a horribly noob question, but I'm racking my brain trying to figure that out, haha.

Also, I'm curious if you could assist with the editing of the navbar. I'd like to add a "home" button to it since I use vbAdvanced CMPS. I was looking in the navbar template, but couldn't see what exactly I needed to do. Any thoughts?

Wunderbar 10-12-2006 02:43 AM

anyone? Plz? :(

I was asking me about the same question because this site looks like a parked page with a lot of "usual" spam links. I'd find it a better solution if I can link to a site where you present your work.

Tell us what you think about that.

harmor19 10-14-2006 09:57 PM

Great style but may I suggest you make the links darker? I changed them to "#970000" and it's a lot easier on the eyes.

Yes - That link needs to stay in the style, but you are more than welcome to move it to another section as you did.

That's a very small change, which people can do themselves after installation if they choose to do so.

Changing the color scheme of this wouldn't be a quick or easy job, as a lot of the color comes from the images. I don't have the time right now to undertake such a project myself, unless it was a paid service request (Too much going on with school, being in Europe, and my other jobs to be doing free work right now.)

nice design

mcipdns 10-22-2006 06:58 PM

Hello,

Love the design, but I have two problems I can't seem to fix:

1.) Where and how exactly do I modify the header/footer templates so that the login box and forum stats stays up throughout the forum?

2.) How would I put banner ads below the "Users currently browsing" box?

So far, I've succeeded in inserting them in all the wrong places....any help would be appreciated.

angisson 10-22-2006 10:04 PM

I was going to ask a question like the one he asked.

I am wanting to make the sidebar go through out my Teen Forums is there a simple way of doing so?

I really think it looks better being on all the pages, so if you could help me, I would thank you bunches ;)

Viper007Bond 10-27-2006 11:07 PM

Wow, what an awesome style! Definitely gonna use this one as the default for my forum once we customize it a little bit to our liking. Thanks! :D

JimmyN 10-29-2006 04:02 AM

thanks, very nice work on this :)

jyajay 11-01-2006 09:42 PM

I noticed that on IE7 Final the footer moved to the middle of the site on pages which don't require a scrollbar:

http://img67.imageshack.us/img67/182...otrrar9.th.png
(taken from your live demo)

Andrew 11-02-2006 12:14 PM

Yeah - My xHTML and CSS is perfect acording to the W3C validators, so I would guess that Microsoft has rewritten their own version of the HTML standards yet again. I'm only using Linux at the moment, so I can't get onto an IE7 installation to try and fix it until I get back home in December.

Ophelia 11-03-2006 01:15 PM

Has anyone had issues with 403 errors when they have installed this style? We have it installed and members are now stating that they are getting random 403 errors when they try to access areas in the forum. I've had the same issue, so I know it's happening. You'll click on say "New Posts" and it will give you a 403 error.. refresh the screen a couple times, and it goes away.

Andrew 11-03-2006 01:16 PM

Adding a style wouldn't cause 403 errors - I would assume it's more along the lines of a problem with your server.

Ophelia 11-03-2006 02:47 PM

It's only happening with this style though. If I turn it back to the one we had before this, we have no issues at all... turn it back to this style, start getting the 403 errors again.

Andrew 11-03-2006 05:51 PM

Anybody else having an issue like this ? I spent a while on my dev forums from a variety of machines that I have access to, and I couldn't get any kind of error. It could also be some sort of disagreement between the style and a mod/hack that you have installed, but again, I don't really have much insight on resolving something like that.

harmor19 11-03-2006 08:15 PM

Here is the "Thanks" image for the "Thank You" hack for the people who do not have Photoshop.

Andrew 11-03-2006 11:40 PM

Thanks for creating and posting that (No pun intended) - I'm sure a number of people lacking Photoshop will appreciate it.

mcipdns 11-04-2006 07:33 PM

But again....how would I fix it so that the control panel, and forums stats stay on the left throughout the entire forums? And how could I fix it so that banner ads could go below the forums stats?

I've tried to insert the code in the style manager, but keep putting it in the wrong place...

.... little help?
