Actually nevermind -- realized you can control it from the forum manager in vB.

Other question -- enabling this hack TAKES AWAY the quick reply on posts. How can I make it so that quick reply still shows up?

Question, if I insert a link, and choose the txt to say "Source" or something else...the link is not blocked....any way to block this as well?

One question though, can it be used with phrases for multimple languages? I tried creating a phrase in 2 languages and putting the $vbphrase[name] code into the Change Text Option, but it doesn't work :(

1. I couldn't hide links.
2. When this hack is installed, i can't see the posts in archive. I can see just poster's and time, date etc. But i can't see the post.

Just one thing... If I am understanding the screeshots provided.. there is an option when makng a new thread or post to hide or unhide links?? I do not have that option.. did I do something wrong?

Does anyone know how I can get links in threads to be hidden from members until the they reply? I have a hide hack but the link comes up as plain text and can not be clicked on. Any suggestions?

I'm running a 3.6.5 VB and it only works with some links :s

and when you try to uninstall it, it won't uninstall. All you can do is disable it.

Works ok for me on 3.6.5. I'd like to see this adapted for use with vbadvanced (links all show on vba pages), but that aside - it's an awsome hack!

I just installed this on 3.6.5 and it worked where the guests couldnt see it but my registered members couldnt see the link either....what did I do wrong?

I'm running a 3.6.7 PL1VB and it only works with some links

For those who can't see the links - you need to goto your usergroup settings and amend it for admins/mods/registered... to show links.

Maybe it should say "Links should also be hidden from these groups. Separate each group with a comma."

This works great, especially since I have download links up but I want adsense to crawl my site and not have guests download links.

Anyway I can get this to work with this mod:

It's an AJAX mod where the forumdisplay threads have expandable/collapsible first posts. The posts that expand show the links.
