Paul M 03-28-2007 02:27 PM

There is nothing I can really look at unless I have admin access.

One question - do your members actually have high reputation values to display ? it doesn't look like it in the link provided.

abdulla1 03-28-2007 02:45 PM

Take a look here please.

what might be the problem?
the same thing with the default skin.

My members have some high reputation level, but the issue is none is having more then
one icon!

abdulla1 03-28-2007 02:49 PM

yeah you'r right! They need too many reputation to get more then 1 icon!

i'll fix it,

thanks :)

You should be able to decide it.

That's decided by what values you put in the settings.

I have now, thanks for pointing that out.

Doglet 05-16-2007 12:43 AM

Paul, will this hack now install automatically into 3.6.7 given all the changes?

Paul M 05-16-2007 11:22 AM

Yes.

rjmjr69 05-17-2007 09:10 PM

Paul this doesnt work after upgrading to 3.6.6

Paul M 05-17-2007 10:31 PM

Yes it does, it's running fine on 366 and 367.

Maybe for you but not me.

Paul M 05-17-2007 11:15 PM

Well theres not much I can tell you other than the problem must be local to you. The plugin this uses is in a file that has remain unchanged in all versions of 3.6 (right back to beta 1).

BTW, I can't even view your forum as it bats me away to Google moaning about proxy servers - not a promising sign - as I'm not using any.

It must be on my end cause I have a few other things not working since the upgrade. And try to get to the page again We were working on the proxy blocker should be all set now.

Mrdby 05-22-2007 04:47 PM

installed!!!!!!!

Jimandbob 05-24-2007 05:16 PM

Installed perfect Paul.

Is there anyway to add a line break after say 10 stars as after that it starts to stretch the template?

Thanks

Jim

Paul M 05-24-2007 07:31 PM

10 Stars ???

I've never seen anyone get that far, the highest we have is four, and I'm thinking maybe I'll need to line break at five sometime in the not to distant future. So yes, such a thing may make it into the code at some point - but as for 10 stars - maybe you need to review your point value settings slightly.

Jimandbob 05-24-2007 07:50 PM

It was done as a joke to someone on our board that does not like rep.
Think our highest is 5, I was just wondering for the future.

Thanks Paul.

Jim

pictureboarduk 05-25-2007 01:42 AM

Thanks Paul, got mod, installed.

I have a query though,

I have just installed on a new vbulletin installation, no themes, and when the hack was added it has lines through it's name in manage products as if it's disabled.

I activated Reputation through ACP but it was still the same.

Have I done something wrong??

Thanks.

Brandon Sheley 05-25-2007 02:22 AM

great hack :)
I was wondering how this was done on a site I visit.

cheers

shlomot 05-25-2007 03:24 AM

Works flawlessly. Just remember to copy the images to images/<style-name>/reputation folder for each installed style on your forum.

deezelpope 05-25-2007 06:21 PM

Thank for Extended Reputation Display Problems look please picture

Paul M 05-26-2007 11:12 AM

In you vbulletin options (general settings) turn off "Add Template Name in HTML Comments" - you don't need that on a live forum.

Paul M very thanks :)

katie hunter 06-02-2007 04:02 PM

Hi, I installed this xml, i mean uploaded it but shouldn't there be extra options in the user reputation in my admin cp ? like these for example ?

I don't see any additional options that were added like for example set 2 green bars = may be 25 rep points etc.. ?

enable system
default rep
reutation undefined
number of reputation ratings to display
adminisartors reputation power
Regsister date factor

deezelpope 06-02-2007 04:28 PM

<i>It's under vb options.</i>

katie hunter 06-02-2007 09:40 PM

But I had this mod before and for some issues i lost it etc.. It had an extra option under user reputation where i can set how many gem = how many points ? Where can i find that mod, i find this but it is deleted , the download file .

Paul M 06-05-2007 10:45 PM

If installed correctly then the options should appear.

So yes, such a thing may make it into the code at some point - but as for 10 stars - maybe you need to review your point value settings slightly.

I ran into this problem on my site. With the exisiting plugin, we were set to have 5 of each pip which translated into a total of 15 stars being displayed. That was too many plus it didn't show more if the user earned more reputation.

I modified the plugin so that if the user gets more than x (say 10) stars, after the stars a [+x] will appear to show how many stars above 10 the user has earned. The attachment shows a real life example of what it looks like.

I made these changes to the plugin:

look for this code:
PHP Code:

                $repa 'green';

$repb 'greenh';

$repc 'gold';

$repx 'goldstar';
            }

$count $linemax_cnt

REPLACE the $count = $linemax_cnt; with
PHP Code:

                // next lines from Brent, begin section I

$goldstar_num floor($repval/$linemax_val);

$goldstar_show 10;

                          if (
$goldstar_num $goldstar_show)
                          {

$count $goldstar_num;

$extra 0;
                          } else {

$count $goldstar_show;

$extra $goldstar_num $goldstar_show;
                          }

// end of Brent section I

AFTER:
PHP Code:

            while ($count and $repval $linemax_val
            {

$count -= 1;

$repval -= $linemax_val;

$posneg $repx;

$linemax_exd += 1;
                eval(
'$post[\'reputationdisplay\'] .= "' fetch_template('postbit_reputation') . '";');
            }

ADD:
PHP Code:

    // added by Brent to show [x] after medals

if ($extra 0)
            {

$post['reputationdisplay'] .= "&nbsp;[+".$extra."]";

$repval -= $extra $linemax_val;
            }

// end of Brent change 2

Change $goldstar_show to how many stars you want to display.

hi Paul! , i used to have this hack installed in my VB 3.6.4, recently we update to 3.6.7, after the update, we uninstall all hacks.
now i install the hack again. but it doesn´t work :S

Paul M 07-23-2007 04:14 PM

It works on any 3.6 version, so you must have a local problem.

ePrOmD 07-30-2007 01:50 AM

tks paul, for answering my post. actually is working without problems! :tup:

RockStrongo 08-01-2007 12:55 AM

This is the first mod I've installed and I love it! On my forum the users think that reputation is more powerful than a Pulitzer Prize and now that they have a visual representation of their cyber-greatness then it just makes the forum that much more fun!

Thanks!

adsense-id 08-04-2007 10:40 AM

installed, but I can see any icon display.
