Hi,
This is very nice, working fine with my arabic forum

I wish you can include the follwing..
Thread: merger
Post: Merge

I though Thread and post move covers it, but it does not..

I've only tested it on the latest vBulletin version (3.5.4), but there is no reason why it wouldn't work on 3.5.3.

Thanks,

Alan...

Can you please give upgrade instructions from your old pm on thread move hack?

Many thanks,

Alan @ CIT 05-21-2006 03:10 PM

To upgrade, uninstall PM on Thread Move, then install this one :)

Since they are different hacks, there isn't a direct upgrade path so to speak, just uninstall, then install.

Thanks,
Alan.

The same applies if they cannot see the forum the thread was in (ie, you moved it to an admin area, and are moving it back to public), it will tell them the destination forum, but not the forum it was in (the admin one).

Thanks,
Alan.

We have an unusual setup for our board .... we have a deleted thread archive (which is just a subforum of one of our mod forums) that we toss many of our deleted threads (we mainly only delete threads that have gotten out of control) into. We tell the OP that their thread has been deleted, but it essentially only gets moved to another private forum. Is there a way to make threads that are moved to certain forums say that the thread has just been deleted, instead of moved?

bada_bing 05-22-2006 02:14 AM

How can I change the message to say from Forum Management to something else?

Yep, the "Many thanks, Forum Management" signature is in the AdminCP -> Options -> Moderation AutoPM - General Options

Thanks,
Alan.

Unfortunately, this cannot be done in it's current state.

The closest options there are at the moment, are the ability to totally exclude a forum. So if you moved the thread to your private sub-forum, a PM wouldn't be sent at all.

Or just the standard move option, where if the user cannot view the private sub-forum, it will tell them it's moved but not tell them where it's been moved to.

Many thanks,
Alan.

I just installed it. Worked like a charm, installation and the function itself.

I also like the implementation in the phrase system.

Thank you for a great mod! :)

Stick/Unstick is supported and appears to work as desired. It doesn't currently support merge/unmerge, but that may be added in a future version.

Any way to consolidate the four AdminCP Options into one long one? Or at least force them to be consecutive? For some reason they are scattered amongst my other options in AdminCP -> vBulletin Options, which is confusing.

cnprint 05-27-2006 07:47 AM

Stick/Unstick work very well now, i have made a mistake.

thanks..

They should technically be in order, but if other hacks are using the same "displayorder" as mine, then they'll get scattered. With debug mode turned on, you should be able to edit each setting group and change the display order to get them to display next to each other.

Thanks,
Alan.

Same here! Only pms for moved threads. This is a great idea. Is there a fix for this?

It has been answered before. Take a look at this. ;)

That bug should have been fixed in v1.0.1 but if anyone finds it still happening, please let me know :)

Thanks,

Hi all,

Moderation Auto-PM v1.0.2 has now been released!

This version fixes a few small bugs, including using quotes in a thread/post title.

If you notice any bugs, or have any comments, suggestions or complaints, please let me know :)

Thanks,
Alan.

P.S. Thankyou to everyone for nominating Moderation Auto-PM for HotM!

redlabour 06-01-2006 06:36 PM

German Translation works well with 1.0.2 - no changes ! ;)

Alan @ CIT 06-01-2006 06:39 PM

Thank you for the German translation Redlabour, I have added it to the download box :)

redlabour 06-01-2006 07:00 PM

Alan,

I uninstalled the Moderation Auto-PM 1.0 version product, and I received a bunch of database error emails.

Quote:

Database error in vBulletin 3.5.4:

Invalid SQL:

userfield.*, usertextfield.*, user.*, UNIX_TIMESTAMP(passworddate) AS passworddate,
IF(displaygroupid=0, user.usergroupid, displaygroupid) AS displaygroupid,

LEFT JOIN userfield AS userfield ON (user.userid = userfield.userid)
LEFT JOIN usertextfield AS usertextfield ON (usertextfield.userid = user.userid) INNER JOIN language AS language ON (language.languageid = IF(user.languageid = 0, 2, user.languageid))

WHERE user.userid = 2772;

MySQL Error : Unknown column 'language.phrasegroup_autopm_title' in 'field list'
Error Number : 1054
I re-installed the updated 1.02 version, but my question is, are we stuck having this installed because of all the automated PM's sitting in users PM boxes???

Alan @ CIT 06-02-2006 07:43 AM

Did all of the plugins get uninstalled as well? Sounds like the uninstall code was run as the language column was deleted, but the plugins didn't get uninstalled.

Give it another try and check that the plugins are removed correctly.

Sorry to hear you are uninstalling it btw, is there anything I can do to improve the product so that you would consider installing it again?

Thanks,
Alan.

tommyxv 06-02-2006 07:50 AM

I have every intent to keep using it. It is a great mod. :) I wasn't sure how to go from 1.0 to 1.02. The install instructions in the zip made no mention on how to upgrade. I figured the best way would be to just un-install the product from the admincp. Maybe the un-install code from v1.0 didn't work. I did have the 3 include files still on the server after i removed it.

I overwrote the old files with the news ones and then uploaded the 2.0 version. All seems normal now.

Thanks,

Alan @ CIT 06-02-2006 08:49 AM

Good stuff, glad to hear it's all working again :)

Apologies for not updating the install file, I'll remember to do that for the next version :)

Thanks,
Alan.

Update to 1.0.2 and AdminCP Translations.
