Welcome, was confident you would get it working sooner or later.

MoveOver.cc 03-11-2006 01:12 PM

I have managed to add 1 photo as admin, but when I try to add a second, or anyone else tries to add a photo, it does not work.

Any suggestions anybody?

Try uninstalling product, reinstalling it and ovewriting the vbgarage.php?

Im not sure why it would only let you upload 1 photo, make sure to look at the Vbgarage options in the admincp and that you dont have it set on a 1 image limit.

MoveOver.cc 03-11-2006 02:27 PM

Thanks.

Have sorted out that problem now. Needed to make all the subfolders 777.

Im guessing there is a maximum size limit on the photos.

Can you please advise what this is, and is it possible to change it.

Cheers

It is all controllable in the control panel settings for vbgarage ;), look at the screenshots.

Are you exceeding file size? The pics are uploaded into the database.. What type of image files are you uploading?

Saying "this doesnt work" without an explanation of the enviroment doesnt help very much.

Ask in the template modification section.. i dont have time to write the template code for it and the conditionals involved.. I may add it into the script in the future.

firstrebel *clicks install*

Thanks for this nice hack.

sorry about the vague description. i'm very new to vb and i don't really know how to explain my problem.

what is the maximum file size? is it related to the max upload size i set in the acp, or something different?

i thank you in advance for putting up with my lame questions.

Max size is 20000 bytes by default I believe, no one else is reporting a problem with the images so far; you most likely skipped an install step.

blacklancer 03-13-2006 01:48 PM

nope. it was on the server side. i got it all taken care of. thanks alot and it looks great! https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2006/03/24.gif

Great hack, would prefer to have the option to only let a certain usergroup be able to use it though...any ideas how?

I unfortunately didnt convert that part over, but plan to in the future.

blacklancer 03-13-2006 05:13 PM

i'm really not trying to be a pain Trigunflame...:D

i want to have it so that instead of a blank template for the users to fill out, there is pre-assigned boxes (i.e. make, model, year, etc) so that it is nice and clean when people input their info. anyone know how to go about doing that?

Dont quite understand what you mean..

JamezModMed 03-13-2006 05:35 PM

i think he means rather than one big text box, separate boxes to make it tidier... ?

ive installed and its cool, apart from when i click on "currently active users" at the bottom, it says stuff like "UNKNOWN LOCATION blah blah blah" when they are in the garage....

FudgeBalls2002 03-13-2006 08:43 PM

How do you edit the word car to something else on the main page like to moped for example. I think I have to edit the vbphrase page but can't figure out where it is.

When I try and delete a garage for a member, I get this error in the window

Quote:

The page you are trying to access does not exist.
Please select a page from the main menu.
It still deletes the specified garage. I am thinking I have a file that needs to be chmod'ed to a something else.

Search for car in languages & phrases.
Scroll down untill you see vbgarage_car
That's the one you're looking for.

How to fix it?
Thank's...

Sal Collaziano 03-15-2006 05:18 AM

This is a great modification. I've installed it.. I just want to "third" the Usergroup thing. I'd love to have the ability to set usergroups permissions for filesize, amount of photos and ability to use the garage at all... :)

That was fixed a while back, not exactly sure how you are seeing that.

NathanLedet 03-16-2006 02:12 AM

I installed..it seems to be working great so far. However, i would like it to say "Garage" rather than "vbGarage". How can i do this? Thank you for a great hack :)

NathanLedet 03-16-2006 02:34 AM

Few questions...
When you're uploading a pic to the garage, to the left it says
"You are allowed a preset number of images."

How can i change this to something like "You are allowed to upload 10 images. Your size limit is 20 kb"

Also, when a user uploads a picture, where does the picture upload to? i hope it isn't stored in my database..or is that possible? i'm a bit of a noob.
