Hi Daten, its not possible with the LITE version as it is limited to 1 forum and thus, 1 location and category. :(

I have instlaled the GARS lite and overall I am pretty impressed with it. One issue is that If I put images in the gallery, and choose that, it doesn't put that image in the featured reviews, but instead puts the default image in. Is there a way to change this?

I dont know about Lite, I use to Paid version and you have two options. Add images to a gallery, and specify a Default image for each of your custom "forums".

Get the paid version its 100 times better than the lite.

I have installed this version, and am slowly figuring it out. I think I've got it so far.

My question is about the user end of things. Once it's configured, how do my members access it? Do they go into a specific forum? I tried to make a forum that was called "Ratings Reviews and Evaluations" but didn't see any of the GAR's settings to enable it to be a review fourm.

How do I create the forum itself?

Okay I got it LOL. After I set it all up I created that forum, then pointed GAR to it.

Shoot, I should get college credits, and you should be teaching LOL

I have installed this on my forum today - PC Help Forum(in the Tutorials section).

It looks great and is really easy to use and change.

I installed this and made a GARS review forums....however I made this forums permission to 'moderate new threads'...unexpectedly I had every forums that was lower in order also have this attribute. I assume this is a bug.

Any help?

UPDATE:

I disabled the plugin. Double checked all my settings..then enabled the plugin once again. All seems normal now. I am not sure what went wrong.

I have a big issue lol. I'm using a RC version of the first version. How hard is it going to be to update from the version 1 to the new version 2 for vb 3.6.0?

Any help or advice would be helpful.

I used to use all of your stuff when I ran 3.0.x. Now with the advent of 3.5 and beyond, I've had to forgo your beautiful lines of code.

I see that you're selling the full versions of these plugin-friendly packages on http://www.vbgeek.com.
Smart business move!

Once the article system comes out of beta and goes into v2.0 I will buy it.
But I'm going to try this LITE thing now.

Everyone else - please remember that this thread and release is totally unsupported. It wont work on 3.6x and it will only work on 1 forum.

Omg I can't believe I didn't see this a long time ago. Thaaaaaaaaaank you for releasing this. I've wanted GARS for a while but don't have the small amount of money to drop for the full version. This will work out great for my small forum until I can / need to upgrade!

I've recently installed this mod. Everything went smoothly, except for this:

Database error in vBulletin 3.6.3:

Invalid SQL:
SELECT phrasetypeid id FROM phrasetype WHERE fieldname='GARS_4_phrases';

MySQL Error  : Unknown column 'phrasetypeid' in 'field list'
Error Number : 1054
I get this error when I go in to edit a term set. I can see the fields, and I can hit save, but when I do, the whole page goes to this error. When I first access this page, the error is down at the bottom.

It's looking like the installer just didn't create the appropriate table?

Anyone have any insight?


damn - just noticed that this won't work on 3.6....bummer!

Everything seems to be working correctly except that i cant get the default image to display correctly.....

When i save the "type" it says...."not my type, though i saved it anyways"

I ended up buying the full GARS ;). Worked out better for my needs that way.

This installs fine on 3.7 but I get no GARS in the AdminCP, I have to manually enter in the gars_admin.php to get to any gars menu, but even this page does not do anything, my forum chosen for the reviews does not show like the screenshots.

Anyone have this issue and if so how do I fix it?
