Unfortunately, there is always the one who is a bad egg. I never take money off anyone until the job is done and installed, unless it's a massive custom jobby in which case I get 50% when I have it installed on an exact replica of their site on one of my test installs. I get them to review it first though before I ask for a penny.

Always be wary of people who start saying, 'Oh, and there's this, and there's that, and something else' and try to push the price up. Once a price is agreed on then you have entered into a contract whereby the coder should provide the service/product for that fee. Additional things requested by the purchaser can be extra charges, but anything else I would be very wary of. Coders know how long things take to do and work out their prices accordingly.

On the spelling issue, I understand where Filburt is coming from. If you never mention that a person's posts are at an almost unreadable level, they will probably never improve and make the internet a worse place for all. If you say something, they will most likely try to do better. So get off his case. In a way he is helping this member, not acting superior.

Boofo 09-28-2005 01:29 AM

In was in the way he presented it that got everyone riled. Maybe using tact is an option next time?

It does'nt matter to me its not like im fillin out a application to provide for my family, cause if that was the case i would get the job. everything would be correct, but since this is just a forum be cool im jus tellin u all about one of the members on the site and to be careful...

And we appreciate that, but still, it's nice when forum members spell correctly and that. ;)
