In my opinion, Oscommerce is like the most popular store software out there, but its template system sucks big time. The way that the programming code is merged with the design makes it too easy to break it for designers who dont know/dont want to learn programming.

I got a friend with a Oscommerce based store, and I cant count how many times I have had to fix things he broke while trying to change templates.

This is my opinion, but I think that instead of coding the integration, we need a new software, one that would use the amazing template system that Vbulletin has in place.

It is available at http://www.oscommerce.com/community/...arch,vbulletin and I can change it or install it for you for a fee - if you have some php knowledge then give it a go yourself - contact me at david<a>countrybumpkin.com.au if you have any questions.

To integrate the two applications I used nusoap which is a common tool used to communicate between applications (can be on different servers) integrate vbulleting with other applications. You create functions in each application eg create acount in vbulletin and just call it from oscommerce or vice versa. You just have to work out how the function works in the application ie you have to look thru the source code in vbulletin on how it creates an account. But what I created for country bumpkin is very specific for their needs and will not necessarily suit your requirements. Also at the moment you have to login to both applications but with some extra work I am sure that one login can be used to be logged into both applications.
