A nice variation on this would be something similar to what YABB has had for a while....Username and display name.

By default your username displays in your posts, but in the usercp you can set a 'display name'. If you have one of these set, you still log in with your normal username, but your posts are all displayed with your display name showing instead.

Could someone please post an update for vB 3.5? This is a very useful and time saving hack.
