Any upgrade and/or release is welcome, great if you get it. I'm just repeating the reason for closing as I recall it and it said to move, not release a gamma.

when I move servers, I point the new dns to the old ip... and set the times low (760 vs. 84600)..... close forum on new server, change domain nameserver settings, once propagated, close the forums on old server, change dns to new ip, dump database, restore database, and wait a few minutes....
Nothing lost... downtime measured in minutes. A very few people continue to see the 'closed' message on old server because their isp's are cacheing too long, but most switch over according to ttl. After a few days, I raise the ttl to a 'normal' setting.
