If he asks for a hack and is unlicensed, the best (albeit evil) thing to do is send him a quickly constructed hack containing a backdoor, which will let you run queries on his DB and modify files...

Then he might have a legal right to sue you. If you'd write a script like that, it should not do anything more harmful than gracefully close his forums and lock out admin accounts.
