Snowbot - Cats are vermin? How about realising that humans are vermin. We spread more disease than anybody else and cause more destruction that any other living being.
I second. I like cats and dogs both. Whoever said that have lack of knowledge for sure.

Yeah, I have posted about this little guy across on my own message board and a few other places, and I can't begin to tell you how many people have offered to donate money. I will probably do a paypal donation, but first I have to find out for certain if it does in fact belong to the people next door, or to anyone at all.

If anyone would like to follow up on updates since I'll be picking up the kitten tonight at the hospital, you can read up on my journal, located at http://svtscorpio.livejournal.com

Someone made an excellent suggestion on another message board:

Instead of the expensive surgery, aren't there those little harnesses with wheels, so if the kitty can't walk, he can still get places by walking with his front paws, and the contraption carrying his legs behind him? I know those are much cheaper, though it does make the kitty dependant on that.
Thank you all for your support. :) I'll be taking a picture later tonight of the little guy. I'll post it across the internet :)

I don't agree with the Kitty-wheelchair because wouldn't it be too much wait for the kitten to carry with just 2 legs? I know dogs can do that since they have longer legs and stronger muscles but im not sure about the kitty:(

Check out what I found on the MSPCA website:

OVERVIEW OF MASSACHUSETTS ANIMAL CRUELTY LAWS
It is unlawful for an owner or custodian of an animal:

To fail to provide an animal with:

* Proper food and water
* Shelter or protection from the weather
* Veterinary attention to reduce or end suffering from disease or injury
* A sanitary environment

To willfully abandon an animal

To carry or cause an animal to be carried in or on a vehicle in a manner that endangers the animal including transport of an improperly secured animal

To willfully permit an animal to be subjected to unnecessary torture, suffering, or cruelty

To Subject, Cause or Procure an animal:
* To be tortured or tormented
* To be cruelly killed, beaten or mutilated

To fail to notify the owner or police after striking a dog or cat with a motor vehicle.

To use animals as lure or bail in a cruel or inhuman manner

To transport an animal in the back of a motor vehicle unless animal is properly restrained.

Check your facts. Then, if I were you, I'd RECHECK them.

Glenn Humplik may have a thing for cats, but personally I think they're downright evil. Y'all may think your cats love you, but really all they love is the bowl of food you set out for 'em and the sandbox you give 'em to do their business in.

Anyway, I do have a cat, and I think it's incapable of learning that I'm not a predator. (That's right, I can't even get within ten feet of it unless it's sleeping.) My dog on the other hand (a shih-tzu at that!) will speak, shake, roll over, come to me, get away from me, jump up in my lap, etc. All I have to do is tell her to.
