I would doubt what we pay for ours;)

We are thinking of getting a 10mb/second connection instead of this one - What can I say - My family is impatient on the net:p

I have the same as Erwin although I use the www.bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/ and I have ever seen the speed we are supposed to be getting.

I'm on a cable.

784k. Not bad, certainly beats the 56k I used to be on.

But, in a mere 25 days I'll be moving into my dorms at the university I'm attending, which is hooked up with 20mb/s connection.

Details

Your raw speed was 22621.09 bits per second which is the same as: 22.6 kilobits per second

This sux.

I'll be on Cable after the 19th though. :D

When I read posts or threads like this, I have 2 strong feelings:
a) Kill myself
b) Kill my service provider's top management staff

:hurt:

Please don't say, change your ISP if you don't like it, my feelings get stronger! :smoke:

I wish vb has a ultimate thread ignore feature. :rambo:

Erwin 08-08-2003 12:57 PM

Using this:

http://www.bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/

I get:

976 kilobits per second

However, these kind of tests are HIGHLY INACCURATE. It's best to do a download of a file. Upgrading my ZoneAlarm just now, I was downloading at a rate of 160 kbp/s.
