PHP = Pretty Crap Language, ASP = Lot Better......... A Hack can indicate anything. A Hack doesn't have to mean that it uses templates or needs to be in VBulletin............ Read Up On the Term 'Hack' before you comment on what the term means...........

:D

If you don't like PHP, then don't use vB. :) What gamersforum is saying is that usually hacks are meant to be integrated with vB - if not, then anyone can get a standalone program, upload it here and call it a hack. :)

Peace.

Hey -- That thing does look cool...

any info on new versions, or if it is going to run on php ??

Seems like you were on a roll until the arguement.

Was a PHP version ever released?

Is there a recommended hack to add chat capability to my vb?

Thanks for any tips, and I hope to hear you got it working and integratable. =)

I run FreeBSD UNIX, Apache 1.3.27 PHP4 and MySQL 3.23.52.
PHP Chat would be much easier for me to run. I'd have to install too many extra modules to get asp to work.

I guess you are running on a Win Server of some sort. :knockedout:

nope am running mine on a Linux Server (red hat 7.2)...W/ PLESK 5. And the one I am working on is PHP based :)

Why don't you guys stop +++++in like girls and let the guy post his software? He did say that he was writing it in PHP. And, where does it say that PHP is the only language supported for hacks ?

I am looking for a well written, cheap, and low-overhead chat package.

Terry, ignore this kid and let's get this thing rollin.
