Every single custom/unique thing you do to your site will almost always be nearly 100% effective. Lets see it deployed on every single vBulletin site, and you can bet your butt that it'll be broken.

This isn't to advocate that you should stop working on your resources to stop spam, just that nothing is 100% effective forever.

Yep that's the old defeatist saw. And something we pretty much, all have heard. There's a few of us though who don't take much stock in it, don't consider it to be valid conventional wisdom.

When you see this you will understand why it won't be broken. They would have to just drop automation, to have any hope of it. And even then, there's no hope.

Wanna be a tester?

A lot dont use automation.

Like has been said, lots of big promises, but so far its just words, we'll see when it comes out.

Btw, no, I dont want to be a tester. :)

Do you physically send a confirmation code on a postcard or something? Thank you for creating an account, please wait 1-2 weeks for our postcard which contains the confirmation code to activate your account!

:D

No actually we send a electrical charge to their keyboard to shock them, and if they don't reply back with WTF was that, then we know they are a bot. :p

Sometimes big/complected problems have a so easy solution to solve, that nobody thought to try it. I wish you succeess to your try.

The human spammer is becoming more and more rare. Most all spam out there is automated. In fact alot of the human ones are using automation programs, to do their work.

But, this plugin takes care of the human spammers as well - and they won't even know it.

I've been using part of this for over a year Paul, it even works for the unregistered guest - allowing me to enable guest posting and still get, no spam at all.

Thanks! You're gonna love this plugin even if you don't need it.

But sometimes the big/complicated problems are simply overrated. They're not big or complicated at all.:D

Yes, exactly. This is what I had in mind to say. For our complicated mind they appear big and complicated while they aren't.

Similar to this one below. I'll be glad to know that you'll do something like this for spam problems :) It was something so complicated for all. But finally the solution was so simple.
