This looks very interesting.
I have a big problem on my forum with inexperienced users posting in the wrong category. I'd like to give this a try but I am pretty sure it would exacerbate that problem the way it is set up. Do you have any ideas for how I might try to prompt them to choose the right category when posting? Or, alternatively, can I disable the option to create a thread from anywhere? Thanks for your time. |
Guys, your mods ideas are very nice.
However, and this comes from a former subscriber to your services, i have yet to try a mod that works perfectly. There are always issues with either stylesheets or coding in general with your mods. For example, when i enable this specific mod, my forum stops loading and gives me a blank page. PHP ERROR LOG OUTPUT: ### [Wed Apr 09 12:55:37 2014] [error] [client xxx] PHP Fatal error: require_once() [<a href='function.require'>function.require</a>]: Failed opening required '/home/x/www/x.org/forum/includes/functions_mf.php' (include_path='.:') in /home/x/www/x.org/forum/forum.php(89) : eval()'d code on line 264 ### |
Thanks for posting this. I was just about to try this out but think I'll give it a miss now!

On your site when you log in to the forums and then try to change the forum display options I just get a database error, need to see this setting work right before trying it. |
I like it but it reminds me too much of Discourse's forum software lol
