The mod works very nicely for us. On our forum, we want a user to post an introduction after he joins. Most users refused to do this. This mod allows them to do it at registration.
There is one undesirable thing about this mod- it posts the introduction immediately, before the user is even approved from moderated status. If you decide you don't wish to approve the member, you have to go back and delete their introduction. I placed the forum on moderated, but that did not work. Can you have the mod wait to post the intro until after they are approved (removed from moderated status)? The other thing I wonder is why there is a field in the mod's admincp menu for minimum length of the introduction when the custom field "length of field" setting already does that. |

We already have the same plugin since last year.
The plugin works great. We are using it for several months already. Here is what I noticed. - Thread titles are all the same except that the member username is present on the title. Its already obvious to other members that this is automated except from the intro contents. I suggest to the author to make another custom field that will serve as the thread title. So that welcome threads have different thread titles. Great plugin btw! |
Hi, I have this running on 4.2.5 and it's working, but when clicking "find latest posts" and "find latest started threads" in the profile the intro thread doesn't show., is there a way to get this working? Thanks.
