Ok. I understand.
Can you advise something to me?

ozzy47 11-26-2013 11:56 AM

There is no mod that I know of that does this in vB5

sv1cec 11-29-2013 09:30 AM

I installed it on vB 4.2.2, doesn't seem to work.

Let me clarify this: The hack works only for posts made after you install it, not for those made before.

From the first post.

Frequently Asked Questions.

Q. I installed this, selected the forums, but viewing the activity stream, they still show?

A. This only will work on newly posted threads / posts, not ones already posted.

Don't forget to mark as installed. :)

"RTFM Stupid" said the author!!! :)

Thanks!

It happens, I sometimes forget to read my own stuff. :) Thanks for marking as installed.

OK, I found an issue with this.

We have a forum in our site, in which we copy/mode posts or threads that violate our rules. A typical way of doing this is to select some posts from a thread, using the moderation tool and move them to a new thread in that forum, let's call it "The Laundry Room".

Well, I have excluded the Laundry Room from being reported in the Activity stream, and it works just fine, if you go and start a new thread or add a post in that forum, but threads created by the moderation tools, unfortunately get reported. Not good! :)

Any ideas?!?!

I'll see if I can replicate this scenario on my dev site.

How difficult would it be to make it so:
1) Users can decided themselves in their settings which Forums they want excluding from the Activity Steam?

2) Could this also be done to exclude Forums from the 'NEw Posts' ?

1) I don't know, I think that would require a bit of coding.

2) I just coded a mod for that, will release it later today.
