It's not showing up for me. Will it only work on those threads posted after the edit?

you mean for the old threads it's not showing up? have you done anything else after edited the template? because this mod doesn't affect anything it's just an edit for the postbit template so it should appear in each post without any problem.

just post your template here so i can double check it (postbit or postbit_legacy , the one you are using)
