did a quick test, and yes you can multiquote (in a sense).
when you hit the button your text is dumped into the qr editor, and the screen scrolls down to qr anchor. but you can scroll back up and repeat, and the new quote will be appended to the line in its own quote tags. possibly, if one enabled the 'use next line' option it would append the second and following quotes on separate lines.

Hm, I wonder.. is it possible to multiquote with this? So if you quoted something with this, and then select another piece of text and quote it again, will both be placed in the quick reply section or will the last quote overwrite the first?

i am also having this same issue. i have enabled the 'next line' option, but it doesnt appear to have changed anything. browser details in sig

Installed. Really like the mod. However, even with the option to have the cursor advanced to a new line after the quote, my cursor is positioned just to the right of the quote (with a space separating the two).

Other than that, excellent work!

Perfect

Seems to me the best alternative would be to have a preference as to whether the selective quoting button appears on the left, the default, or the right. What say you folks?

Peace,
Gene

i have mine set to the right of 'multi-quote', because it seemed logical.
if anyone wants to do likewise, drop it here:
PHP Code:

<class="multiquote" href="{vb:raw post.replylink}" rel="nofollow" onclick="return false;" id="mq_{vb:raw post.postid}"><img id="mq_image_{vb:raw post.postid}" src="{vb:stylevar imgdir_button}/trans_40b.png" alt="{vb:rawphrase multi_quote_this_message}" />{vb:rawphrase multi_quote_this_message}</a
                    </
vb:if>{vb:raw wog_quick_quote_button}
                </
span

Any information?
Browser, forumlink?
Doesn't working just for you or all?

Thus "Quote selected text" should be "Quote Selected Text." I edited my installed copy, but suggest you follow suit. :)

Thanks. I do it ;)

If you want to add button on the right of the Report Post, you must turn off Auto-Position option and place {vb:raw wog_quick_quote_button} after Report code in postbit.
Example:

Code:

<vb:if condition="$show['reportlink']">
        <a class="report" href="{vb:raw post.reportlink}" rel="nofollow" title="{vb:rawphrase report_bad_post}"><!-- <img src="{vb:stylevar imgdir_button}/report-40b.png" alt="{vb:rawphrase report_bad_post}" /> -->&nbsp;</a> &nbsp;
</vb:if>
{vb:raw wog_quick_quote_button}

It's good idea, but I can't do this by means of hooks in template.
We must do it manually.

Gene Steinberg 01-20-2010 03:32 PM

I'm just hoping not to have to make more template changes. Whenever there's an update in the vB software, I have to go back and double check those things because the upgrade process is so damned inefficient.

Peace,
Gene

Not necessarily.
If the new version has been changed template - a message appears in the admincp "Template out of date"

It's just me so far, as I'm doing a test environment in LAMPP running off Ubuntu. Forum link PM'd.
Tested in Firefox 3.5 and Chrome.

No worries...working now...just me being a muppet and not extracting the js file properly...
