the files get renamed to ([0-9]+).imgcache.. it would be a good idea to keep the file extension.

I'm waiting to see if some improvments will be done like storing the images in the user album (or similar) to test it, but it's a damn must have product for all the CG forums like I'm running!

Is there a way to exclude certain domains' images from being cached? I host my personal images on a separate domain but the domain is hosted on the same dedicated server as my website. No need to duplicate the images into cache.

Something else that would be good is a small icon or something next to the image link that contained the original link. Sometimes you're linking to something that gets updated so you want to check the source, also you want people to be able to get to the source site for various reasons. Credit for the work, etc.

Does this mod serve the local cached copy of images only when the external link goes down, or does it serve all images from the cache regardless? If it's the latter that would use a TON of server resources very quickly. I would install this in a heartbeat if it's the former though...

Anyone know? Can it be modified to do the former if it doesn't currently?
