:D

The initial thread is asking a general question on the value of a 2 digit domain name.

So yes it is i suppose like asking the value of a house, however the key points you are missing are:

1. domain length
2. domain is australian .com.au
3. domain is numeric
4. domain age

So I dont see any ego trip occuring, only the fact your rattled, and acting like a spoilt child.

In fact from the above its quite easy to ascertain a value based on the factors given, and as this is the community lounge and not a "my domains better than your domain" discussion, I see no basis in your accusations.

The basis of any commodity is supply and demand, and what the market is willing to pay. However when you have something unusual, so ... please not let us discuss the "analogy" of a sports car.

This in fact is a 2 digit domain, perhaps you are not aware of the scarcity of these. Added to the fact its a TLD , but is Australian, also lends to the argument you dont know the domain market, esp Australian domains, which are tied to companies ABN.

If the domain was www.im-a-consultant-and-web-developer.com then it would be quite easy to ask the foillowing:

1. domain length over 30 characters
2. contains hyphens

So I really dont get your angle mate.

If i said I had a domain named after a well known cat food, would that indeed help you contribute in a more positive manner ?

I think not

My angle is simple, it's that no-one can possibly assess the value of your domain without knowing it. For example, 69.com is most likely worth a hell of a lot more than 96.com. Take two guesses as to why ;) I just can't understand why you would have posted the thread other than to show off that you had a big value offer on your domain. The fact is, you're asking people to make a blind valuation.

Please excuse my previous posts, I get rattled easily these days

Okies, well.

Forum Rules on here are quite simple, no self promotion, which I adhere to.
This being a good venue for forum and site owners, who dont just do sites to make money seemed like a good place to post a thread, to get a general feel for domain values.

Had I gone onto a sedo type forum, I am sure I could have been more specific, but the site/domain are a business site, so we dont want to advertise the fact it may be for sale. Even as a silent listing.

Unfortunately it isnt 69.com LOL

Its a .com.au and they are inherantly hard to sell on, when compared to .com As we have to provide actual details as to the viability and usage of domains based on business etc.

All I was after was some very general thoughts.

post what it is and let us help you tell you what its worth. Stop being so evasive.

Perhaps google the subject. Here's one result: How Do I Determine a Domain's Value? - WebProWorld

Thankyou Paul and Lynne.

I dont see any positive outcomes or additions to this thread, maybe its best to just close it.
