Anyways, I would love to switch to IE 8 as my full time browser, but my FF addons are too important for me.

Clippings is the ony thing that keeps me with Firefox. IE 8 rendering time is way faster then Firefox , uses way less ram compared to Firefox.

I didnt like Google Chrome at all. Its designed for regular surfers. Also i hate Google more then i hate Microsoft as a company.

Use FF+Plugins+Brain and you can go even faster than IE :D

I only use one plugin which is adblock. I rarely block ads but if I'm trying to read something and I see an animated advert out of the corner of my eye I'll block it.

I did however modified the config file. I don't know if there is a difference in speed though.

I only use IE to check on styles I'm developing and that is it. I only have a few select plugins installed for firefox and have used this as my browser of choice. Chrome is not the browser I'll probably ever use, though I do have it installed.

See, when I saw people trying to promote the Firefox browser, they often went on about how it was faster, and therefore it should be loved. Now I see someone saying that IE is currently the speed champion, and that makes them hate it.

I don't get all this devotion to browsers. As long as I can read the stuff on the page, I'm happy. Well, as long as the stuff I can see is good, of course. I don't use Firefox - the extremists who try to promote it put me off somewhat, but I've never had a problem with IE. I don't go around hating a piece of software. lol. I'm not that devoted, really. I just hate it because I don't understand why i can't have the power of both :p

I prefer IE but currently use Firefox for a wider variety of addons... Had to make the Firefox interface look like IE7/8 as well. Can't stand the default Firefox icons and interface.

Have checked out Chrome but didn't like it. Didn't have enough features. I mean you can't even sort bookmarks into folders. Its too minimalist for my tastes over all.

Yea, Google always nails the whole minimalistic approach to things. It's their signature touch. Well i'll still have my fingers crossed for a faster Firefox one day.

I use firefox on my main machine because I develop on it, and can't live without firebug and the web dev toolbar. And adblock amongst other things. These extensions do slow my pages down but my PC can handle it :) However, I've been using chrome on my netbook and I have to say it wipes the slate clean with IE and FF so far ;)
