Hello Paul,

Just a quick question. Reported posts are now coming with this format (as required per your mod):

Quote:

The following post has been reported.

Poster : username

Thread : thread title

Reason : report reason

Original Post (Link) :

message
When I click on the thread or message link, it loads on the same page. Is there any way to make this to open in a new page?

Why? Well, moderators are required to reply in the thread of the report commenting what they has done with the reported post and since the post link is being opened on the same page, they will need to look again for the thread of report in order to post what they has done.

Hope you can help me. Please excuse me for my bad english, that's not my language.

Thank you,
Jonathan

Sorry, it uses the standard vb post bb code, which does not appear to open the link in a new page. On most browsers you can just hold down the SHIFT key and then click on the link.

Hello Paul,

I see. No worries, thank you.

Another suggestion: it should have a column to contain a link to the report thread. This will be very useful for moderators when reviewing the list of reported post. I think that it could be another column or instead of that just add a link at the right of the thread title.

On a side note, all reports are created by a unique username defined in the vBulletin Options. Is there any way to bypass this config? I mean, any way to display the real username of the reporter instead of the username defined in the vBulletin Options?

Finally, I think that a feature to enable/disable reported post list access permisions base on usergroup should be very useful also.

Thank you,
Jonathan

There is already a link to the reported post ;

Quote:

Staff can click on the reporter to be taken directly to the report thread.
As for the reporter - you must have set this up in your vb options, you dont have to have a specific user, just leave the "Post Reporting User" option blank.

Oh sorry, my mistake.

Yes I know but my suggestion is to add an option to bypass this config and display the username of the original reporter.

Finally, I think that a feature to enable/disable access to the misc.php?do=reported based on usergroups should be very useful also. Maybe someone want to make this information accesible only for staff.

Thank you,
Jonathan

Edited:

Quick question: when I click on the moderator name a new window is open with the reported post information. At the bottom line there is a 'Comment: No Reply Yet' text. What is the purpose of this text?

I dont see the point, if you want the original reporter, turn off the fixed user in the existing vb options.

This was designed to be accessible to everyone, so I dont think I'll be adding that anytime soon, if at all.

This is answered in the main post (staff comment).

Quote:

A report is considered as actioned by the first staff member to reply in the report thread. The comments are read from that first post (by default it reads anything inside quote tags).

Great Mod, but there is a problem.

My Moderators and Supermoderators are in primary group "Registered Users" and secondary "Moderators" and "Super". And the hack doesn't recognise they as staff members, even if configured in the hack options.

How can i fix this? I don't want to move them to other primary group than "Registered.."..

Paul M 02-09-2009 04:35 PM

Sorry, it only checks primary groups.

Is it possible to make it check secondary groups in a next version?

Yes, I dont see why not.

Edit: Actually, there might be an issue with this, I need to look more closely.
