Not enough form or function. Would work for quick browser on underpowered machines but really doesn't empower the next generation web. The system doesn't even interact with their own services natively. Definately not on the must have list for me. Both Firefox 3 and Internet Explorer 8 are much better applications.

Chrome doesn't bring anything new to the internet at this time.

They already said that they will be removing that from the Chrome agreement and applying the new agreement retroactively. However they still admit that they will use Chrome to track your movements on the Internet and store 2% of those movements for internal use.

Oh great, more fodder for conspiracy theorists.

Meh - I didn't like it very much - too minimalist with very few customization options for my liking. I think the ultimate browser would be something that offers the end user a wide variety of customizations right out-of-box and definitely be easy on system resources.

What Google Chrome is missing IMO:
  • Bookmarks ordering manager to easily order bookmarks
  • User customization (ie ability to order toolbar placement)
  • Options to import settings from all installed browsers
  • No full screen mode?!?!? :-/
  • Address bar with option to add separate search
  • Feeds integration would be nice for new "streamlined" browsing
  • Integration to check Googlemail would be wise (aka integrating Google features)
  • Integration to track adsense and other google-only implements (analytics, etc...)
  • An optional sidebar to easily access bookmarks, downloads, history, etcetera would be nice
  • More options to customize site-specific preferences (ie show images, block popups, etc...)
  • Additional options to customize the ugly, blocky & waaay different appearance https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/
  • A better way to store website passwords and such whilst keeping browser integrity safe

I do like the speed of browsing - it is quite quick loading pages. The privacy feature is interesting and novel - but seems incomplete... I sort of like the look of the tabs up top - but most will probably hate it LOL --- It's an interesting beta - but there's just so much missing IMO......

I like that Google is taking a chance by introducing the Chrome browser - With a few additions implemented and a wider embracing of user-specific customization - I think it's a possible winner.

Wow -- considering it was only released a day ago, I don't see why you're all complaining. Seriously, I'm sure they'll improve it in future beta's. It's like Google itself, though, clear, easy, and plain -- great!

Bcuz we see the life backwards ;) you see it forward :p

I'm really disappointed of the media, they are supposed to be more technical-realistic minded than us... and most of the articles I have seen published out there is just cheerleading!

1. is a Beta
2. good Speed.
3. Not in the league of IE/FF/Safari
4. Google turn itself in a Commercial listing site...

If you don't like the data collection, remove it from the source when it is released and compile your own build. Or download someone else's, I'm sure it'll come with time.

I don't see you guys complaining about Google monitoring your data when it brings visitors/revenue to your sites. ;)

Just responding to the thread my Dear :)
Possibly Google reads the interesting comments made here and implements the suggestions I've personally made and it makes for "clear, easy, and plain -- greatER!" :D
