I have a minor problem though, the link is not showing on the admincp and i have to browse to the specific php file to get access to the mod.

You should see it in the stats and logs Group heading.

You may need to refresh the left frame (or completely close out of your browser and re-load the ACP).

If you still don't see it, re-ftp the /includes/xml/ folder. That xml file in there is what adds the link to the left nav.
