Updated to v1.1.0
Added usergroup settings - 'Can dismiss persistant notices'. Set to 'Yes' as default for all usergroups. How to upgrade: Dowload and unpack the zip package in the first post above. Copy all files in the upload directory to your forumroot. * dismissnotice.php * includes/xml/bitfield_sk_dismissnotices.xml Import the file "product-sk_dismissnotices.xml". Remember to select "Yes" for the "Allow Overwrite" option. Adjust which usergroups that should be allowed to dismiss notices. /SK |
Is there a way to change the button text to hide rather than dismiss?

Does this add an 'is dismissable' when creating a notice? I'd like some notices to be dismissed at the members discretion, but I use notices for ads for guests, so obviously I wouldn't want them to be able to dismiss them =D

Only way is to set the usergroup for guests so they can't dismiss any notices. (If you got v1.1.0) I like the idea, and I actually tried to implement what you're asking for. Haven't figure out a way to do it with available hooks though. And I didn't want to have file edits. /SK |
Thank you very much!! it is the hack that i was looking for.
