my avatar would be useless to copy, because it is me on it -- hand made, designed by me... someone with the same look could use it, but he would be harassed with insults and menaces.. so i do not care.. lol

But the reaction will be different between musicians if they see you...
I got 1 year here and he just got few months, so if not 'brain surgery' to reach a conclusion, I consciously posted here since under the law a printed or electronic publication counts towards registry. and even can quote the Coordinator here from few days ago:

Anyways.. you can't expect someone who sees your avatar to know that you created it. And in that case, as stated earlier, it would be best to contact the accused party and let them know that you don't approve of it.

My post wasn't saying that it's not copy written, and Marco's quote is directed towards modifications.. so bringing that into this discussion was pretty much pointless. But if you still disagree and think that it needs to be handled legally, then all I have to say is, good luck getting a lawyer to take this case.
