FYI, it also obeys vB's "can change vote" option (under "Polls and Rating Options").

ChurchMedia - I've now seen the "rating thw rong forum" thing on your site, but can't duplicate it on 3.6.7pl1, 3.6.8 or 3.7b3. The only major difference I can see is that you are running vBSEO, so I'm wondering if that may be kerfuddling things?

I've loaded up a 3.6.7pl1 test forum, and although I found a couple of little issues. It seems to work fine. I've fixed the 'guest' rating issue.

So I don't think there's any problems with Forum Rating itself, but there may be some compatibility issues with vbSEO and/or some other mod.

However, until we get these things resolved, I'm setting the status of this mod back to Beta.

I was logged in when I rated the forums. I'm running 3.7 beta 4. I just tried it with vbSEO disabled and had the same problem. There could be another hack interfering.

Thanks for looking into it. I'll be looking forward to the next release! :)

I know this is pretty much an "is there gas in the tank?" kinda question, but are you sure you edited the right templates for the style you are using?

I can't offhand think of any other reason why absolutely nothing would show up if you've even vaguely got the right templates edited and that Enable Forum Rating option is set. I'd expect some kind of output, even if the table appearance was screwed up.

Even if you don't have "thread rating" enabled for any forums, it should at least show the "rating not allowed" image on FORUMHOME / FORUMDISPLAY.

Okay, check your PM's now, thanks alot man.:D

TCE Killa - it was working fine on your site, the only issue is because your FORUMHOME template is heavily modified, such that you couldn't apply the edit for that template, it wasn't showing the "Rating" title. And because none of the forums were rated, no stars were showing.

Everything else is working fine. I rated a forum, the stars showed up, etc.

Yeah, I noticed now, it is in the Forum Display template, not my Forum Home lol. Have a look in there if you want. Sorry about that, you should have admin status again now. Thanks for the help man, appreciated.

OBTW, something I forgot to mention in the docs ... if you want, there is a "rating_notrated.gif" included in the ZIP. If you replace your existing ./images/rating/rating_0.gif with this file, instead of blank for no rating, you'll see a single greyed out star.

NOTE - I tracked down the bug that was causing incorrect forums to get rated. I'm building a new ZIP, but for now to fix this, find the following line in the FORUMDISPLAY template (inside the third 'cheesegrits' edit):

HTML Code:

                                <input type="hidden" name="t" value="$forumid" />
... and delete it.

Version 1.02 has been uploaded.

Two bug fixes. 2 new ACP options (see updated screenshots for details).

Nice idea. Friend can you make an addon that makes let you choose different kind of ratings (up to five or to ten, for example, and with different kinds of images)?

I think it will be perfect, if you have a sport forum some images and up to five the rating, if you have a cinema forum, another kind of images and rating up to ten.

Great work friend ;)
