Nice, but i have one suggestion.

For displaying the avatar you run one query (fetch_avatar_url)

But youu can prevent this.

Create a plugin on init_startup with the folloeing contents:

Works awesome, but I doubt many people will realize it's actually their unless they move their mouse over their username, is their any way something could be done to say "hey look over here you have a private menu!"
