Hello,

Before anyone asks, yes this works with 3.5. The only modification you need to make to it is removing the executionorder=10 from the xml.

Antivirus 02-11-2007 01:30 AM

I have just updated this to version 1.2, all new features are explained above.

Antivirus, once again...thanks. I'm sure you had spent your entire day working on this. Although I'll keep the mod, I do have to admit that I really liked it when the usergroup was changed as opposed to their "Accept Emails from Admin" set to NO. I see why you had to change it because when it was set to move the user to a different usergroup, it was impossible to get them out after the member fixed their email. The reason I liked it the other way was because with over 12,000+ members I wanted to prune these members based upon their bounced emails. It would have been easy to do this if they were all in one usergroup.

Hmm... i suppose in the next version I could make it an option in the AdminCP to turn on or off either method in the next version, so in other words based upon what's set in AdminCP hack option settings, admin can turn off either of the following:

change usergroup
and/or
change setting for "Receive Admin Emails"

Not true. Turn on "Verify Email address in Registration". When a user changes his email address, vBulletin sends out a confirmation message and makes the user confirm the new email address. When the user confirms his (new) address, he's moved to the registered users group.

I wonder if it would be possible to remove Users from our vBulletin Forum which emails get bounced, because this users are dead users.

Maybe an email check which they have to verify again after a range of time ?

I assume the 'receive admin emails' is set back to yes providing the user clicks on the link in the PM? What happens if they don't and they just go straight to their profile settings and update their email address? Will the 'receive admin emails' still be set back to yes?

I too prefer the 'move user to a different usergroup option' - will install the mod when that option is available.

That's GREAT news Wacodep! I didn't even think about that.
