I noticed the User Title under the persons name, if you hover over it, it says about the release level, any more changes

All the changes are listed on the previous page.

The new points based system has being installed, with associated new titles. A members points take into account various factors involved with modifications (not just installs). A members points are not directly visible - in fact there are only three visible titles - Coder, Designer, and Coder/Designer. You only need one point to be a coder or designer (or 1 point of each for the joint title). Everyone will also have a "Release Level" based on their total points - the more points you have, the higher your release level - an indication of how much you have released (and how popular your work has become). Hovering over the user title will show what level people have reached.

Is this a mod that has already been released? If not, will there be a release of it? I like the whole promoting on points idea...I've been thinking about this for a long time and thought that the vbbux/vbplaza had something similar to that but you had to buy the new ranks...which I didn't like. I like the automatic promotion decided by points (which would work well with the rep and thanks mod IMO; that way people don't always rank up just by posting...they can post very little but help a lot of people with certain posts/tutorials).

It's all custom vb.org code, which I'm afraid will not be released.

Just to answer a couple of questions - peoples points, on which the levels are based, come from a quite complicated calculation that takes into account many factors, including number of releases, number of installs, motm, ratings and even vb version. Each level is twice as hard to reach as the previous level (i.e. you must double your points to rise a level).

The user title system was changed; in short, we now have 'Release Levels' that are based on multiple factors (even more than the previous system.)

If you hover over your user title, you will see you have a Release Level of 7.

Every coder/designer will also have an individual coder and designer release level, viewable by displaying the coder or designer list.

The rest of the changes were internal system and permission changes (so not visible), partly to tidy up old code and odd permission settings, and partly to add some things needed for later in the year.

Liked the old way better. But always cool to try something new

Have no idea how it works... Pauls post seems complex
