the code for top in the footer templat is :
Code:

<a href="#top" onclick="self.scrollTo(0, 0); return false;">$vbphrase[top]</a>
the button goes/ is upload to the buttons dir .

to make it a button or use it any place else can use :
Code:

<a href="#top" onclick="self.scrollTo(0, 0); return false;"><img class="inlineimg" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/_top.gif" alt="top of page" border="0" /></a>
if the button is out of line or not aligned try removing ' class="inlineimg" "

Is there a expanded version for the white style coming?

Edit:
My bad, I see there's one in the zip file ... thanks! Just wished that I could overwrite the default one and retain all of the hacks edits I made to it.

Thanks. I downloaded both the Fixed and Fluid versions in white. Look Great!

On this link: http://gfxstyles.com/?styleid=176
You have RECENT THREADS in the lower left hand column. How can I add that to my site?

TOMC28 12-31-2006 05:04 PM

On my main Forum Page I have Forum Names acting as Categories. When clicking on these Categories, Additional Subforums acting as Categories then appear. These Categories then have Subforums. 3 Levels Deep.

On the second level, the Frames for the Subforums acting as Categories are shrunk from top to bottom (height).

Can you tell me how to increase the height? These work fine in the vBulletin Default? In addition, can you tell me how to change the color of just these Categories (subforums)?

If I shouldn't be asking this question, please advise, as I am new. I've now downloaded 2 different skins, both of which are having challenges when I use Categories...going 3 levels deep. Do forum managers not go this deep normally? Is that why I am having problems?

Thanks, Thomas

Here is a link ...I turned the site on so you could take a look. Thanks!
http://www.fishing3.com/

Take a look at the First Main Category TEST 1 the 2nd level categories shrink to hide the descriptive.

Take a look at the Second Main Category TEST 2. When in the 2nd level, the categories are also shrunk, in addition the framwork around the SubForum also disapears when using the GFX style vs. the vBulletin default?

Finally. Take a look at the Suforum's which appear on the second level with both TEST 1 and TEST 2. The Subforum's don't look like subforums as they do in the vBulletin Default. The description and last posts aren't aligning correctly?

Thanks again. I look forward to hearing from you.

when using split forum categories a lay out or order has to be maintained :
Reference this thread : http://gfxstyles.com/f17/before-you-buy-skin-style-460/
Quote:

Known problems :
1. All forums Must" have a Category header, main title in which to list the forums under or they will not display right .
- - Our styles are of the split forum type and must have this Category header .
This can be remedied by changing code and would be a custom set up . This setup may be effected by adding new forums and categories and may or may not need a code change every time a forum is added or a layout change is needed .

2. The category Header is a must , the forums 'Must" be arranged :
- - All Category header with only forums under it .
- - A category header with only categories under it and no forums.
- - With all of the forums or forum 'first' , then the categories at the bottom of the forum listing .
again this can be altered with a custom code that may need editing when forums or a layout change is needed .

90% of people dont' need to worry about these problems, but you need to be aware of them and the problems that it can cause .
its' just a matter of a slight re arranging of the forum category layout .
