i am using globat.com and it is getting slower.globat blames Vbulletin 3.54.

do you feel changing to asmallorange would help.

I also use vBulletin on GoDaddy, today it ran slower than usual then it speeded up around a hour later, I suggest wait a bit, if it's more than a day, I would suggest finding a new host or remove vbShout if you have that cause it does slow down vBulletins' Database loading a bit.

Thanks man, this sucks at the moment.

I am sorry it took me so long to get back with you..It is really fast...I am not sure how fast but it only takes seconds to load a page of pictures. I am paying 68 per mth..which is alot but it is worth it for me. I have 1000gb of bandwidth I have 256 Ram, uhmmm lets see oh I have 50gb of disk space. if you only use 500gb bandwidth it will knock the price down to 48 per mth.

Or maybe you can move to another company...Good Luck :D

ASmallOrange aint what it seems when your board starts growing. They end up saying that the problems come from your connection, computer, etc

buy at liquidweb.com

Where did you use shared hosting? :) I'm using netfirms.com but is too slow too and sometimes The Page cannot Displayed and HTTP 500 internal server error :(

I have an average of 500 unique visitors a month (first month 1000) and I am with asmallorange, I have no problems at all, not sure what "problems" you speak of. I just know that I've been around for over 2 years and the same things I had happen with godaddy, I dont have happen with asmallorange.

asmallorange used to be good but they over sell and eventually your site is slow as anything.I had server loads on there of over 45 and board was forever going down due to host.
I moved to a different host and things never improved much but eventually found a good hoster (scaraweb.com) been with em about 7 months now and glad to say had no probs with them at all.

I am also using godaddy and my site has been slow off & on for a long time now. :( It's really frustrating sometimes. Every time I call, they tell me it's a problem on my end. I HATE GODADDY.

I have a very small board - just a little over 60 members. It should not run as slow as it does. :(

I had asked them if a virtual dedicated server would make it fast and they told me that it may, but they are not sure. I then asked if I could test it to see if it would run fast on it, but they said no.

Please what do I do know. I think vbulletin should contact godaddy as they are saying the the forum software is why it is slow and that they also said that this php is very hackable(what does that have to do with speed?)

I don't know what to do now, any help is greatly appreciated

Change them, they are very nasty... I have vb 3.6.8 (3 mods installed) and on peak moments i don't hit more then 100 users online anyway 10 days ago they cut me off
3 times (after a server move too better everyones services?!?) telling me that vb uses Malicious Codes and that my board was causing other clients damage and BS like that.

In my experience all that i can say is that their servers are super crowded, they have very bad tecnicians that are unable to resolve any type of problem so they tell their superiors that it's the clients fault and another thing -> godaddy has a marketing strategy = You must go dedicated or virtually dedicated (more cash)... well i did try a month of virtually dedicated hosting with them so now i can confirm that they are super crowded (it's their fault and not ours!!!) because within this month the server load was at 0.43 at peak moments anyway i would suggest you to find a virtually dedicated server (Not Godaddy) so stay away from them!!!

Remember that they give (unless you pay for it on the side) No support whatsoever (dedicated/virtual) and furthermore they install the oldest versions of myphp, mysql myadmin and so forth but the worst thing of all is that your my.cnf file is totally unconfigured = blank so you'll loose alot and alot of time configuring it, took them 20 days just to tell me the server specs so i could do so, be aware of them and look elsewhere.

PS. And please remember that it's always your fault and not theirs just yours and only yours!!! haha
Regards
