Sorry to ruin your day.
The horizontal scroll bar problem is a lot better, but when people view threads with any of the bbcode_ mods, in screen resolutions of 1024x768 or less, they still get the horizontal scrollers.

The other problem is that we own a copy of Geeks Auto-Links and get some peculiar irregularities in the display as you can see from the images below.
The top two are from Internet Explorer and the lower two from Firefox.
In Firefox the GALs are being truncated, but in IE the GAL logo is overwriting the first character of the GAL.

It would be really great if this can be fixed as all our members really like this mod.
Many thanks

That's strange. I'm going to try to reproduce this error. I don't think it will be hard to solve if i manage to reproduce it.

I've also got GAL and i've got no problem. Can you send me by pm the adress of the post message. I'd like to have a look to the code.

cclaerhout 07-04-2006 03:20 PM

Thanks for the link sent in PM. I've looked at the code and it seems there is a problem with your GAL configuration.

The error comes from the $username variable used in quotes bbcode ! It is replaced by
Code:

<a rel='nofollow' href='http://www.cornishserver.com/forums/private.php?do=newpm&amp;u=21' target='_blank' class='gal' onmouseover='GAL_popup(this,"1", 0, "style=\"border: 1pt solid #000000;\"", "Private Message Private Parts", "style=\"background: #FFFFCC;padding: 2px;font-size: 10px;\"");' onmouseout='GAL_hidepopup();'>Private Parts</a>
</div>

Check your configuration... the problem doesn't come from this hack. Just a question : don't you have a problem with the normal vB bbcodes ? I'm sure TheGeek will have a solution ;)

I've tried to reproduce the problem without success. Can you make some screens ? I've tested with a 800x600 resolution and its works perfectly. Just see the joined picture.

You're getting this one third hand because I was reciting what a couple of my members had reported back to me. I will ask them for screenies.
p.s. I must admin that I couldn't replicate the scrolling bars either.. :confused:

As far as I can see, the GAL replacement is correct and going through the 'Replacements' it is as it should be, and display correctly everywhere else.

What do you mean am I having a problem with the normal vB bbcodes?? You confuse me a little.
Many thanks for all your positive action and fast responce :D

Tell me if the defaut quotes bbcode (see the picture) has the same problem or not. To access defaut vb bbcodes don't precise your style id in the options.

I don't understand : You've made a replacement on some usernames ?

gothicuser 07-04-2006 08:03 PM

I think I have the answer for the GAL problems, you are correct. i am updating the forums over the next couple of days and if we are correct then all should be fine :D
Thankyou

cclaerhout 07-05-2006 12:43 AM

I've understand what your member means. There are still problems with ie. Some french users report me a few problems (one is going to be hard to solve -> try to generate your cache and you will understand.). I'll try to release an update tomorrow before going on a business trip for 2 days.

Great hack and working fine for me but wondering please if it's possible to move the Word for the BBCode being used form the right over to the left hand side please. I see that Quote is on the left but HTML, CODE & PHP are all over on the right hand side.

Thank you..:)
