Click on usercp then edit avatar. You can select one from our selection available, or you can upload your own from your PC providing it is within the size limits specified on that page.

ok didnt work on my board! said failed???? but it showed the pic in the square just wouldnt save it. what would i do to solve this?

are you saying that it uploaded but it's not showing in your postbits?

if so, you may want to check you USERCP options ... make sure Thread Display Options / Visible Post Elements / Show Avatars is checked

Do you have a URL?

I do not know your terminology yet so I do not know what a postbit is hahaha. It shows on my profile but not on my post like it does here. If that makes sense.

I will go back and investigate the usercap options. thank you

URL is the name of the site such as www?

Guest210212002 07-07-2006 12:56 AM

Yeah, URL is www.yoursite.com. :)

Postbit is the left side of the post here, where your name/location/etc is. =)

Do me a fav, start a new thread about this in this forum:

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=97

So that we're out of the Staff Avatars thread. :) I'll answer your questions and help you out as much as I can in there.

(Just to keep things neat and in the proper place).

Short answer: No, there's no truth to that guy's statement.

If someone told you that and you have vB, they're an idiot. If you also have an Invision Board, you should update your board to the latest version.

May be possible to take the shell staff image and merge it as a new file on the board. That way, mods could have 2 avatars: the shell + norm avatar for areas they mod, and just the norm avatar for areas they don't mod. Depends on the preference of the admins of course.

Staff moderate all forums on this site :)

I meant the mods / admins of the forum who would install a hack like this. I would like to see this as a hack of some type for other boards to use. I could see this definitely being used on the forums I help out with, and of great use to other people as well.
