Ok, I figured out what it is. You have to have a at least one value in the block for excluded forums. Everything works once I put a valid forum ID there.

What if you don't want to exclude any forums and which ones would you exclude?

I didn't want to exclude any forums either. I tried putting in a zero, but that didn't work. Categories show up as a forum ID, so I put in one of those, which does work. So far, it doesn't seem to have affected any of the sub-forums in that category since they are all different forum IDs, and being a category, there are no posts/threads under it anyway, so it accomplished what I wanted.

Ahh, ok, a work-a-round for now. Whatever it takes has always been my motto. Thanks! ;)

I got to thinking that maybe Staff forums could be excluded from this. ;)
