not really,

You can click it on a city, landmark nearby the event or location or whatever.

You are free in that regard. Just click the small map when entering the data it will center on that location.

All,

Don't forget you can create your own extra categories in the admincp.
I preloaded 18 colours so you can go all the way.

First of all I think this will be great.

Second why can't I add this to my database:
Your full text could not be added into the database because one or more fields blank were left blank. Please make sure you have enter all required information.
Return to previous page

Why should a location require a date? Does the date need to be in a special format? Plus I don't know why it won't accept my data as its perfectly ok. I'm pulling the long-lat numbers from google maps.

The marker text, the title and full text are mandatory fields. The lat and lng are filled in by the map or by setting the marker to a specific location. The date field is not mandatory. It's free text to allow people to freely enter a time description if relevant.

If you redownload the version that is now online and you overwrite the file vbgooglemaphse.php, you'll see that it now fills in a default text in the full text field.

The vbeditor takes his settings from the general settings of the forum so you cannot leave it empty. I'm looking for a fix for that one but the workaround is to download again and overwrite that file vbgooglemaphse.php, if you don't want to fill in something

Ok thanks stonyarc. I was filling in everything, but for some reason it still wouldn't take. I'll try this version.

I still get that error that it won't let me add an element. I'm giving up for now and will come back to it later.

"Your full text could not be added into the database because one or more fields blank were left blank. Please make sure you have enter all required information.

This looks to be one of the most useful hacks (once I get it working) for me that I've seen in a long time. Nice job.

Fully tested all features.
Happy to report no bugs whatsover.
Awesome work, stonyarc.
I could see this, or the member edition as default in vB4.0;)

the full text error applies to the bottom vbulletin text editor. don't change the lat lng fields just click in the map somewhere.

marker title, marker text and full text that's the only thing you need to fill in and it should work fine.

Hey wizardan,

Thanks for fully testing it and reporting back.

There are some minor thingy like some redundant phrases but that should clear up in the next service release.

I'm quite happy with the functions and how they work it offers to the users. There is a lot of potential in this app.

This as default in vb 4 would be very nice. They might want to clean my code a bit but the concept is there :D

I'm telling you its not. I just installed vbseo and I wonder if the final submit is causing something not to work.

When I add an element this is what it looks like: vbgooglemaphse.php?do=addelement

After it posts and I get that error I just see this:
vbgooglemaphse.php

Should it have all the variables on the end or is this ok?

Its definitely not working for me. Reuploaded the whole hack double and triple checked everything. I'll try it on another board in a little bit and see if it works there.

I believe you, I'm just looking for a solution.

For dynamic application like vbgooglemap and vbgooglemaphse you'll have to configure vbseo to exclude, bypass or ignore them.

They even mention that on their site.
