You have staff and members to monitor that. It's not rocket science to cover it in your rules either.

Obviously, peeps can divide up hacks now, knowing that more hacks = better title. Of course, everyone would know what they are up to.

It's not hard to get a rough idea if you look around a little bit at the mods of those with the user titles. Those who have made the move from coder through master coder probably have a pretty good idea too. Still, to me it's not that big of a deal and I see no reason for it to be disclosed if that's how they like it.

Well it just encourages these coders to get more members to click 'install' and helps the feature get more wide use.

In all seriousness, it's a little "surprise" here to keep the title requirements secret. Like Xenon has said, it lets coders legitimately release modifications to get to these new titles rather than doing things that would make them get there sooner which isn't fair.

er ye ok I can honestly say and I think alot of peeps would feel the same. If I knew what would make me a Master coder it would not change my activity or release / support pattern. I would like to know just to know.

This happened to me also today. I just clicked uninstall and hit install on one of my hacks and it fixed it.

I think this problem stems from the coder's usergroup, go to this page: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/profile.p...editusergroups and make sure you're identified as a member of the licensed usergroup. That should stop the title from changing every time you edit your profile.

You're beating a dead horse. This has come up again and again and the answer has always been the same, and will likely continue to remain the same. Wanting to know 'just to know' is not really a valid excuse at the end of the day. Nor is devoting man power to the moderation of user titles a good idea.

If anything we should reward people that give support, not punish the ones that don't. Many people simply do not have the time to give free support, or do not want to deal with the users that install their hacks, and given some of the replies I've seen to hack threads over the years I don't blame them.

Yeah same here. I've lost my "Coder" title. Is there any idea why it went back to "Senier Member"?
