I have just upgraded my 3.8 forum with 7.7 post thank you hack to the 4.2 suite. I disabled the hack before upgrading to 4.2 which I understand is what I am meant to do. But now I'm unsure of what I am actually meant to install to upgrade the hack to be compatible with 4.2 and with this thread being 200 posts long I am finding it all hard to follow...

Do I upgrade with the original v7.82 or do I use one of the ones by Hippy or ForceHSS linked in the staff edit above? or are none of these compatible for 4.2?

Either in the staff edit will work for 4.2.0. It depends what one you want as you see if you click on both links you will see we have different versions with different options in each so it depends what you want

Will trying out different post thanks upgrades effect the thanks I already have. e.g. if I upgrade to one and then remove it to try out another, will it wipe out past thanks?

Don't remove it just overwrite the files with a different version as long as it is the same thanks program same goes with the php files

Ironically, I would like to hit thanks and save spamming the thread but I can't do that so thanks, your suggestion works great and it was very easy to import past thanks. I have disabled the dislike button as I don't see anything good coming out of that one but everything else is great, and it fits into my style really well. Thanks Force :)
