I'd like to take the vbhome sidebar with sponsor, greeting, etc and copy it to my entier vbulletin. Every page with a few exceptions if possible would have the sidebar on it.
So, as users browse the forum (not just vbhome) they would still see the sponsor, welcome, recent articles, etc. I imagine it will take playing with the templates a good bit. Any advice? |

I'm a little green on this and I'm having trouble with step 4 could someone give me a little more deatail onthis step. I'm in the control pannel and have selected Replacements > Add
and don't under stand what to do next. STEP 4 Open vBulletin Admin Control Panel and a new {imageshome} replacement variable to your full website URL, like that: Replacements > Add and enter the following information:REPLACEMENT SET (your choice here) CODE TO FIND {imageshome} CODE TO INSERT forum/images Change the code to insert to match your forum location. Save the replacement variable. |
Here's how you fix it. When it's all said and done you have to go to admin CP vB lite homepage options things and find the field that asks about the template set. Assign it one that (still) exists.
I believe it's set as default to 0. |
I managed to stubble by and get it working and get buy the below error
Invalid SQL: SELECT COUNT(*) AS total FROM thread WHERE forumid IN( ) AND dateline>1051847882. Might be a good idea to note that in the instructions that you should turn on all the options in the vbhome section in the control panel to get past that error. It took me two hours to read and find a post to fix it. How do I edit the header so the I can make the home page look more like the forums format? |
Well, I assumed everyone will set at least one option before they use the script. ;)
About the header, there is a tutorial on the support forums. |
Isn't this site using vBHome Lite?
http://www.xtreme-forumz.net/ I didn't see the copyright here at all. ;) |
