Currently it runs only on vBulletin Suites. I will have this issue fixed fairly soon as were moving into 9.0 with major bug fixes.

Well I tried this. I uploaded the files and my mistake was allowing over wright of my files maybe.
I first didnt like my banner was gone. I decided to disable it but my banner didnt come back. then I uninstalled it. This didnt fix it either and my server wants to charge me $75. to back up my site with yesterdays backup after i did a ton of work on my site today.

Just to be clear... This is a prime example of not backing up your files so its really my own fault......Thanks

Edit 10-9-13 The owner of this mod was very nice and emailed me to help but I had already fixed the issue and it wasn't even this mod that did the trouble (I believe anyways)... I just wanted to make sure I explained that for future readers.

It's been a while since I've been around but i'm back onto vbulletin. I originally had version 6 but I see you've jumped up to 8! nice one.

Curious to know if you've got user tagging built into this. Where as you mention someones username and they get a notification for being mentioned in a comment???

We'll be in 9.0 very shortly. Usertagging is in beta, so for some users it works, and others it does not. Seems to conflict at the moment with other mods.

Are you referring to the Lite or full version? I'm a VP member at vBSocial, I do have a few issues with vBNotifications and LifeStream which I'm hoping will be resolved on the 9.0 release.

I love the Mods, I rather get these issues resolved than ask for a refund... I'll wait it out and see what happens.

i know what you mean m8 its gone downhill since 7.x came out but 6.3 works great. i`ve just lost all faith now to even try any newer versions tbh

yes but it just dont fill people with confidence when something is released that just dont work as it should, it should be tested for bugs ect before being released . thats exactly the reason people are moving away from vbulletin now the they release products that are not ready. so people are loosing interest in this as there sick of being beta testers . as said i wont even try a newer version of this now version 6.3 works fine

I can't speak for vBulletin releases, but members on here sharing free mods, usually make these on a test site, and try to find as many issues as they can.

Sometimes it is quite difficult to test things when you are working alone on something. Every software / mod ever released has some kind of bugs with it. If it were kept in development till there were no bugs at all, it would have to be updated again, as the core software the mod was developed for probably would have been changed by then.

Another thing is some bugs don't show up in a testing environment, that may show up on another users server.

I agree with this, I think I first started out with v6 of this and it worked OK. But then I made the mistake of trying out 7 and it just had too many bugs and other oddities with it, so I uninstalled.

When I saw there was a new version, I thought I would give it another try. I uploaded all the files, installed it and nothing worked right. I posted several posts in this thread, and didn't get any response for several days. When I finally did get a response I was told I needed to create a Google search account and add the account to the google option. No answers to any of the other problems I was having.

So I create the account, go to the google option and it's just a white page. I also asked what does the google search improve on over the OOB VB search.

The reply I got back was that this mod doesn't work with just the Forum software. Where does it say that above? I wouldn't have wasted my time with it, if I had known that.

The author of this mod I think rushes to release new versions, but misses way too many bugs that should have been caught.

First of all, amazing mod! It absolutely love it.

I installed and i'm already thinking of maybe investing in the pro version in the feature.

For now, i'm using the lite version, I installed according to the instructions, but I can't figure out what I did wrong. It seems to work fine, but when i try to configure the menus and google search in the cp, this is what happens:

Well that issue is fixed is the next version. We run all vbulletin suites, and this was the first time someone used it on just a forum. Interestingly enough the software works if you have suite installed, but cms disabled. Anways sorry for the hard aches.

I also like to say, the reason theres been bugs is because we've been trying to tackle several major issues of functionality, the plugin integrates login, facebook, social reputation, dynamic realtime notifications, dropdowns, a different approach to search, user profiles, settings, and navigation etc all in one plugin. Getting it perfect just takes time, and we're almost there.

Did you upload vbsocial.php to admincp in ftp? The other possibility is that your just running a vBulletin forum, and not the vbulletin suite. This issue is fixed in the next version coming soon.

im getting PHP errors:

Call to undefined function dbQuery() in admincp/vbsocial.php on line 274

if i do not comment out line: 470 to 480 i'm getting errors related to vbcms wich i dont have as we are using forum only
this error only occurs on the google search & menu's page.

We've fixed this issue in 9.0. Will be out very soon.

1- Is it "fully" supporting RTL?
2- Can I make the bar fixed? I mean when I scroll the page down it will not move with page.

Is 9.04 confirmed working for a stand alone 4.2.2 forum? Is it easy to upgrade to a paid version?

1. Yes - This one is built with RTL, I thought of you :P. Simply use stylevars, change alignment. And let us know if you have any issues.
