How do i find that top stats page? Where is that.

Admin panel DBtech user tagging settings:

Enable Statistics Page

With this setting you can control whether the "Top Tags / Tagged / Mentions / Mentioned" page should be available.

Just installed. The footer info, for whatever reason, is all the way to the left, and brought the vB footer with it. Is there a way to center this addon?

DragonByte Tech 10-30-2015 05:21 PM

Try it in a default (unmodified) skin, as this doesn't happen in the default skin. It sounds like an incompatibility with your customised skin.

Awesome, that was it, it lines up perfectly in my default style. If I want to figure out how to center it properly (dbtech copyright), where would I go? I tried wrapping center tags in the footer template for my style, but no luck. Additionally, my footer and default footer are the same, leading me to believe the copyright stuff on mine off to the left is stored elsewhere?

Thanks much!!

My guess is it's some surrounding HTML or CSS class that does it. If you use the F12 developer tools to inspect the CSS differences, that may give you an indication.

I just noticed an occurrence of a miss identified member, using @member tagging.
The tag was @bricknell, but the mod tagged @Bricknell, tagging the member name "Bri", not "bricknell".

Any thoughts on why this occurred?

Thanks,

Alan_SP 10-31-2015 08:25 PM

Well, sometimes I had problems with some characters, they look the same, but system (vB and/or) AUT sees them differently. If I copied name, it works, but if I type user name with such characters on my keyboard, it doesn't work.

So, for the start, try to c&p name and see what happens. AUT is made so it looks for longest possible name, not shortest. So, @12345 would always be selected, even if there is user with name 123.

spillage 11-01-2015 10:52 AM

I'm suspicious of it being the capitalization of the "B" causing the problem.
Whilst typed in all lowercase, it is capitalized when posted.
The intended UN is lowercase so "Bri" is then the longest correct match with the uppercase "B" is in place.

So the question is now what is capitalizing the entry?

Alan_SP 11-01-2015 06:28 PM

AUT automatically writes out name of the user after @ exactly as it is written. On the other hand, when writing user name yourself, you don't need to know exact capitalization, but you need to know exact characters.

For example, if there's user MAX, you can mention him with @max and it will work, but output would look @MAX.

Well just uploaded everything and this has seriously screwed my site up...

If I got the premium version, can I actually make sure that mentions are showed in the main shoutbox tab? I don't want to use another shoutbox tab, which is not usually used.

I really hate your copyright links. This makes me over years to avoid all your mods. If it's LITE why you are adding such long links?

^Use that.

It makes it so no matter how many dragonbyte mods you install, only one line of copyright will appear at the bottom of your website.

Hi there,

Could you please double-check your MySQL configuration to make sure your database is set to case insensitive? If it isn't, that would indeed be the cause of the issue.

The default in MySQL5 is latin1_swedish_ci (the ci stands for Case Insensitive).

I don't believe there's an option to turn off the shoutbox tab at this time, sorry :(

Questions:

1) where is the static page that shows the most mentioned users?
2) is the auto filling available when you type a username?
3) how can a member disabled the email notification when tagged?

Tks great mod

PattiOz 12-30-2015 06:31 AM

Thread Tag goes to a 404 error - can you tell me the path it is supposed to go to?

Also 404 on https://www.myforum.com/forums/usert...?do=statistics

Thanks!

yes, in thread tag

3) how can a member disabled the email notification when tagged?
only admin can globally disable via admincp.

too_cool_3 01-31-2016 04:37 AM

When a user is tagged, where do they receive the notification that they have been mentioned? In the Notifications tab where a PM notification would appear or elsewhere?

Alan_SP 01-31-2016 09:48 AM

Yes, there, where all other notifications appear.

I don't want to have thread tagging (the box above the thread page)
how can I remove it?

spamgirl 02-04-2016 03:15 PM

I turned on desktop notifications, but only got them when I first turned them on. They're not coming through since, any ideas why?

ashitrin 02-06-2016 06:39 AM

How can I edit this to make it aligned correctly or just disable the mentions on the user profile statistics?

You can disable the Thread Tagging feature in the vBulletin Options :)

They may be showing up at times you're AFK and your browser dismiss them before you can see them, that's the only explanation I can think of.

Are you making sure you read each of the notifications by going to your profile via the notification link in the vBulletin menu?

Was that a guest user or something? That doesn't normally happen, and it shouldn't.

Hi there,

Can you please turn on display_errors and make sure SKIP_ALL_ERRORS isn't defined, so you can see the actual error?

Thanks!

DragonByte Tech 02-28-2016 06:24 PM

This has now been resolved.

Sorry if I'm being daft, but I can't tag people with spaces in their names. Or at least, I don't know how. Is there a special syntax? Or use of quotes or something? Cheers.

Can you try ending it with a ; so that it becomes @Test Space; and see if that works for you?

Fillip

charlesr 03-19-2016 09:16 AM

Sorry to bother you. It was me being daft. The username had a 0 instead of an o. So I was just spelling it wrong. It works with and without the ;

rohirrim 03-23-2016 10:05 PM

See your massage now sorry.
thanks for the fix... works now.

Changed Features:
  • A fresh copy of the jQuery library is now only downloaded if one has not been downloaded previously. Requires updating of all other affected DBTech mods to take full effect.

Hi! This plugin seemed great, and I have purchased a few others from DB and they all work smooth.

However, I didn't manage to install this one. I uploaded the content of the Upload folder to the forum root through SFTP, but I still keep having issues when importing the XML file from the admincp.

I see this warning:

/var/www/html/mysite/dbtech/usertag/includes/class_install.php appears to be missing!

I checked ten or twelve on times on FTP and the file is indeed there.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

That sounds like a server issue, if the file with that exact path does exist on your server.

I checked logs and I see this:

"PHP message: XML error: Not well-formed (invalid token) at line 1, column 1"

What can this be? Maybe something about encoding?

That's weird, is anyone else having this issue?
