Yesterday i uploaded a video to Metacafe, and gives me an error about a file (unfortunately i can not remember the name) that I do not see the thumbnails of the preview.
What can be?

Hello Jaxel, I recently upgraded to vb 4.0.4 and now my megavideo videos do not show with IE.; they work fine with Chrome and FF but IE gives me : "INVALID OR UNKNOWN VIDEO LINK". Examplle use: http://www.aniworlds.net/forum/media...ails&mid=17738
Try that link with IE, GC and FF and test it out to see what I mean. Any ideas would be very much appreciated. Thanks again for the awesome mod .

NOTE.: I just also discovered that in the description area where we add the mirrors to those episodes , the megavideo mirrors work fine. That being the case I can conclude that it is a problem with Media Library, maybe with the upgrade to vb 4.0.4 caused this somehow? The upgrade has caused some style issues but nothing mayor.

I can confirm this, but the same thing happened to me on 4.0.2 and 4.0.3 so I don't think it's a 4.0.4 issue.

MegaVideo videos show the "INVALID OR UNKNOWN VIDEO LINK" error in IE, but work fine in Chrome/FF.

Edit: Heres a temporary fix for MegaVideo videos to work again in IE.

Media Library > Services

Edit the MegaVideo service and in the Embed box, replace it's contents with the following:

hi, thanks for this vb4-version - it's a cool hack.

if i try upgrading from VDR i got this mySQL-error:
"Table 'vb4.videotagvideo' doesn't exist"

the video-tables are in the database but this one is missing. maybe i tried updating from an older video directory version?

can i create an empty table "videotagvideo" by hand to get the media library running? if this works, can anybody please post the structure of this table?

I just installed VBSEO... will vbseo make the media urls / media uploads into pretty urls or will i need to hire a developer to make adjustments ?

Hello, If I wanted to add the Media Sidebar into a widget for the CMS , how would I go about doing so? I tried adding the template code of 8WR_media_SIDEBAR and also just added the {vb:raw sidebar} into a static HTML widget but no luck. Anyone got any ideas it would really be helpful. Thanks Jaxel.

the code is posted and you will have to probibly read every page to find it but it does work if you add it to widget or sidebar look around page 12 to 40

I was able to find the sidebar for CMS but for recently added videos . I'm talking about adding the actual sidebar that is in media.php home, with the category and top contributers. Is there any way to make this happen?.

Also I know I've read this here before but just can't locate the post. I'm getting an error when trying to edit the category that says the name is too short when in fact it's longer than the minimum characters. Where would I go to edit these values of minimum characters for category name and description?

not sure about custom sidebars, sure it could be done but whats posted is a widget for cms and a forum sideblock option for forum sideblock

oh to remove a Categorie , just rename it or remove the listed nuimber 0 will make it not show i dont think you can actually delete them . so just set to 0 and use it later for anouther Categorie when you need it

I'm not finding anything on editing the categories. The only thing I see is submit media.

I actually have this set to 1 and I still get that error message when trying to edit cats. Also It is not letting me change the priority of the cats. I believe this is also has to to do with the minimum value for cats , since it will not let me save any changes made to them. Please is there anything else I can check??

A couple of problems.

When you go into media, you cannot see a thumbnail of the video you are watching. And for some reason, when I post the video, I get an error page before it posts the video.

When the video is posted, the link section is so big that it goes off the screen for some reason. Here is what it looks like.

[EDIT] When ever I ran this, I got a database error message.

Run the "Import Media from VDR" process in your update counters menu in maintenance.

ok so you dont have permissions set properly, do you run the vsa chat?
, read the instructions on setting your permissions. go to admincp/user groups
and set permissions for each class. if you havent

Thanks ive opened a thread with VBSEO for this... as ive used CRR's codes, template changes and also added the vbseo sitemap addon for media library and still not re-writing the urls nicely .. trying to get tho the bottom of this. Thanks for your reply

The [media] bbcode displaying wrong, I have this on video page:

[media=Video clip title]3973[/video]

It should be [media=Video clip title]3973[/media]
