Hi,
are all Rights (chmod/chown) of the Server ok? i thinks thats the Problem ;)
are all path to the Garage ok?

Powerlynx 07-28-2014 07:25 PM

Someone take over this Garage mod and make it yours. Adopt it and fix it for everyone. Many, many, many forums out there are based on cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, quads, jet-skis, etc., etc. any kind of vehicle. And since there is no other supported garage mod out there available, anyone could just corner that market and monopolize it.

I'm surprised that someone hasn't already recognized this yet. Look at how long this thread is, everyone is screaming and begging for someone to help them with this mod, how many of those and others that we don't know about would drop this mod and go to a better working version of it?...the whole market.

tbworld 07-28-2014 09:35 PM

This is proprietary code, it cannot be just taken over by another programmer. :)

Action-N 07-28-2014 10:14 PM

I am nearly ready to release my 'garage' addon. I posted a prerelease version on the thread linked in my signature. If I can stop adding to it it would just need a few phrases worded an be done.

That is good news, but you really should not be posting about your modification in another authors thread. :)

TBH that is fine, he is just promoting the fact that he has his own version of the mod. It's not like he is saying bad stuff about this one, and asking you to buy his, he is just trying to keep this alive.

Action-N 07-28-2014 10:53 PM

I was merely responding Powerlynx post. I didn't name my mod or link to it but even if I had I don't feel it would be a problem at this point. An fyi this forum has a Similiar Mod thread box on the page that links to "other" peoples mods.

tbworld 07-28-2014 11:00 PM

No disrespect to any developers offering usable code here, that is what I promote. I would have said the same in @Action-N's thread. :) It was obvious to me there was no bad intention, I just did not want to see the thread derailed: which usually follows. No worries. :)

markoroots 08-09-2014 08:30 AM

Hi, look really a wonderful mod.
But i think that if you make to personalize the texts of the description of the vehicle
like it shown in this page https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...9&d=1288225794

Will be really a useful mod for many others forum.

Year
Make
Model
Trim
etc.....

is it possible to personalize those descriptions???

Will be really great. ;)

Powerlynx 08-10-2014 02:53 PM

yes...keep this thread alive...keep this Garage mod alive...fix this Garage mod, sooo many people out there have this broken mod and would like to have a working version of it...finally!

I mean if is possible to personalize this mod not only for the cars, but also for others type of items (personalizing the various text descriptions)

And also can it be installed on 4.2.2 VB version?

Many thanks to the coder for this other great mod. ;)

spd2612 08-12-2014 12:26 PM

Installed this mod yesterday on 4.20 level 4 and have it working well, had to make a couple modifications to my php.ini and to some code for mb_split but it is a great MOD
I would like to be able to put the garage that shows on the top of the page with random pics to the side instead of the top and I would also like to get the dyno sheet add on
Any suggestions ??

giaguaro 02-04-2015 12:06 PM

i would like to have some help.
I did buy and install VB Pro Garage 3.06 .
I left my forum for some time.
I am back, and the Garage doesnt work.
I see that the web site is closed. I run a 4.2.2 vbulletin, i will be very glad if someone will help me making the Garage working again, i have about 150 users in it.
Thanks a lot in advance

ozzy47 02-04-2015 10:38 PM

The developer has not updated this mod in almost two and a half years, so I doubt your issues will ever be resolved. So you may want to check out this mod instead, https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=313438

giaguaro 02-06-2015 09:45 AM

thanks a lot for your kind reply.
Do you think i can save the existing db and pictures of my users, installing the new mod?

ozzy47 02-06-2015 09:56 AM

I dunno, you should ask in the other mods thread if it is possible to import from this one.

MrD 02-06-2015 03:39 PM

Hi,
i use the Pro Version and it runs under 4.2.2 PL4 :D

giaguaro 02-07-2015 02:11 PM

Hi,

Great mod :)

I have a problem with full size images being retained. I've set the max image size to 800x800px & 512kB, and when images are uploaded they are resized fine. However the full size image is kept as well and when the image is viewed in Garage it has a View Large Image link at the bottom which links to the full size image.

Is there anyway of disabling this? I'm not particularly keen on periodically downloading all the _full images, resizing them and uploading.

Attached are screenshots of my Image Settings, Usergroup Permissions, and an example of the 3 files it creates (thumbnail, resized image, full size image (note the file size differences!).

Cheers
Paul

I am running Vbulletin 4.2.2 Patch Level 4.

I have some lost code and was wondering if someone could tell me how to find and correct it.

My user info has the user data not correctly located on the right side. I believe it is related to the garage program. (view attachment)

I see this in the code related to it:

***********************************
Code:

<img class="inlineimg onlinestatus" src="http://www.teambuick.com/forums/images/statusicon/user-offline.png" alt="67ndSkylark is offline" border="0" />

                                        <span class="usertitle">
                                                Newbie
                                        </span>

<div class="imlinks">
<div class="popupmenu vehicleaction">
<a class="p  <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< THIS SHOULD NOT BE HERE!

                                                <span class="postbit_reputation" id="repdisplay_94674_23775" title="67ndSkylark is an unknown quantity at this point">

                                                                <img class="repimg" src="http://www.teambuick.com/forums/images/reputation/reputation_pos.png" alt="" />

                                                </span>

                                                <div class="imlinks">

                                                </div>

                                </div>
                        </div>

                                <div class="userinfo_extra">
                                        <dl class="userstats">
                                                <dt>Join Date</dt> <dd>May 2014</dd>
                                                <dt>Location</dt> <dd>North Dako</dd>

                                                <dt>Posts</dt> <dd>1</dd>

                                        </dl>

***********************************

I found "garage_dropdown", it looks like it is related, but it looks complete!

Code:

<div class="imlinks">
<div class="popupmenu vehicleaction">
<a class="popupctrl" href="#"><strong>{vb:raw veh_col_text}</strong></a>
<ul class="popupbody popuphover vehicleaction_body">
<vb:each from="ddvehicle_block_data" value="ddvehicles">
<li class="left"><a href="{vb:var ddvehicles.link}"><img src="{vb:var ddvehicles.image}" alt="{vb:raw vehicle_link_title}" width="75" border="0" />{vb:var ddvehicles.veh_name}</a></li>
</vb:each>
</ul>
</div><br />
</div>

Thanks

What version of vBulletin are you running? Can you please edit your post to put the code you posted inside of the HTML bbcode?

I am running Vbulletin 4.2.2 Patch Level 4.

disable the garage plugin and see if the postbit displays normally. It does appear to be an issue with the garage postbit, have you checked it in all of your styles?

rcull 01-04-2016 02:08 PM

The problem is the same in all styles, and it disappears when Garage is disabled.

Thanks

Thanks

it seems that Dylan's website is gone, or having issues. I was going to see if this had been reported over there.

You might just disable the postbit for Garage, until we can find a fix.

rcull 01-14-2016 12:57 AM

My Garage was originally a paid Pro version, then some years back, I had a problem and when the transition to what it is now seemed to be in question. I abandoned it, but would like to make it work again.

It was the best "Garage" program I have ever found. If someone knows of an equal, I would like to know! I would only want one that will probably be supported in the long term. That seems to be the challenge with plugins:(

I wonder if I was to simply uninstall what I have, then reimport the current code if it would work and save the vehicles.

rcull 02-04-2016 01:34 AM

Well, I finally did an uninstall and a reinstall and it did not fix it:(

Is there a Coder out there who can fix this? I would be happy to pay a qualified person familiar with the vbulletin and related products!

Can someone suggest someone?

I would advise you to post here:

Requests for Paid Services

You will be more likely to draw the attention of those who do paid custom work. If you have never hired someone from this site, then please read this thread:

Do Your Research Before Hiring!

This was a good product, but it has fallen badly over the last few years, and now it seems to have disappeared altogether.

DTO Garage is a decent replacement, but a bit overpriced IMO, and from what I can tell, it is very similar to VBGarage Pro.

is there a way to remove the Garage tab after getting rid of this? mines still there

the tab on the profile, or in the NavBar?
NavBar: Use the Navigation Manager in ACP and delete it
Profile: Should be gone if you deleted the plugin, but if not, then delete all the extra files it added
